Has the X Division got worse over the past year?

When you think about it, TNA’s X Division has changed over the past few years. Once, it was full of veterans such as Jerry Lynn who then pushed over AJ Styles and Low Ki, then to where it was filled with guys such as Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, and AJ Styles. Now it is full of guys such as Sheik Abdul Bashir and Consequences Creed.

So, I think AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, and Samoa Joe was the rising of the X Division. However, AJ and Joe are now in the main event with Daniels now as the Curry Man.

But, do you think that the X Division has gotten worse over the past year?

I think that it hasn’t. Yes, once it was on top and even put as the main event of Pay-Per-Views before World Title Matches. The X Division also has gotten stronger with more rising talent such as Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, Sheik Abdul Bashir, and Consequences Creed.

I think that if TNA wants the X Division to keep to the position where it is now, they could unmask the stupid gimmick that Christopher Daniels is in, Curry Man and even hire such talent such as Little Guido and even hire back Shannon Moore after the huge push in the X Division they gave him before they released him.

Also, TNA could hire some indy talent and use Doug Williams. In this way the X Division will remain in its current position.

So what do you think? Do you think that the X Division has got worse over the past year?

The X-Division has got worse over the years.

2002 Was a year for the X Division to showcase their talent and how good their ability was. Now it's just a second-rate Division with a Champion who is Anti-America.

I loved the day when Christopher Daniels, AJ Styles and overs showcased their Talents which made TNA Unique.

TNA should hire Paul London (he'll be released soon, guarnteed) and Shannon Moore, That is a strong X Division roster IMO.

The X Division has strong talent as is, the division as a whole just isn't being featured as heavily as it was before TNA hired the WWE-lite main event they're focusing so hard on. Between Jay Lethal, Sonjay Dutt, The Machine Guns, Petey Williams, Eric Young, just to name a few, the X Division has the talent.. all they need is a hot feud and a little air time.

Also, why just lightweights? We all credit Joe as one of if not the best X Division champ ever, so why not feature some bigger talent? The X Divisions credo has always been "it's not about weight limits, it's about no limits".. we don't want a glorified cruiserweight division, then we need to quit calling for one. They have Bashir feuding with Rhino.. why not give the strap to Rhino for a while? Couldn't hurt to give the division a little name value.

Imagine Rhino picking up the strap, maybe turning a little more heel.. maybe a feud with someone like Homicide? Think about the bloody series two guys as stiff as those two hooked up over the X belt? Just an idea. And I'm not even a fan of Rhino.

It has obviously gotten worse, but it still has potential. They have loads of wrestlers that are still in it, but don't get used that often for X Division matches. they just need to start making the belt seem more important again.

Hey guys, let's all solve a problem by hiring people, when we are already stacked with talent~!

Rave to the X Division. Give EY a prominent role there. Keep Bashir's push going. That's a strong enough X Division.

And yes, it has obviously got worse. But trying to hire people as stop gaps isn't going to fix it. Pushing people is.

I agre with that mention of guys who would be awesome in the X Division but aren't.. Homicide, Eric Young, even the Machine Guns are sort of out of that picture.

I still say Rhino should take the belt, that'd be a really compelling angle.

How would it be compelling for the most stale and boring man in wrestling to take the title? He isn't even that good in the ring. I would much rather than Bashir as Champion, and even he isn't great. As long as Consequences Creed doesn't get the belt anytime soon I'm happy though.

I think its pretty obvious that the X Division has got worse, but as SD said, it is easy to make it better without hiring people. They just need to focus on the talent they have and put more emphasis on the division.

Rave is the main guy being underused. He should be on his own in the X Division.

He could do, but to be honest they have had him as a joke character so long that, rather like the rest of the Prince Justice Brotherhood, I have just about had enough of Young and wouldn't care if he was released.
