Turning Point: Grudge Match- Samoa Joe vs Kevin Nash
A year ago, Scott Hall no showed an event when he was meant to be the partner of Samoa Joe and Kevin Nash. Joe wasn’t happy in the least, as he took the mic, and blamed people like Nash and Hall for a lot of the things wrong in the wrestling business. For the next few months, there seemed to be some heat between Joe and Nash. That heat was seemingly gone though, when Nash started to mentor Joe in his pursuit of the TNA World Championship.
At Lockdown, Joe accomplished his life dream in winning the belt from Kurt Angle. Throughout the next few months, there seemed to be tension between Joe and Nash. But Nash always remained loyal to Joe.
Then Sting came into things, attacking Joe. Joe wanted to hunt Sting down and brutalise him. Nash was against the idea, as Joe had to concentrate on his actual opponents, not the man who was in the rafters. Joe didn’t care, as he still went after Sting.
Finally, a match between Joe and Sting was set for Bound For Glory, with Joe’s TNA World Championship on the line. In the match, Joe dominated. He near-killed Sting. Kevin Nash walked down to watch, seemingly to support Joe. Until the turn came. He distracted Joe, allowing Sting to hit him with a baseball bat, then hit the Scorpion Death Drop for the win. Nash had turned his back on Joe, and joined the veterans.
Now the stage is set. Joe gets his chance for revenge, as he faces Nash. Will he get the desired result of revenge?

I think this match has potential to be pretty solid. The Nash vs. Sabin match from two years was actually pretty good, and if they work the match like they did then, it should be entertaining.

It'll either be decent, or really crap. Nash can move even less than he could two years ago, and Joe/Nash can't have the same psychology as Sabin/Nash, which I think suited Nash more. We'll see.

I really can't see Nash having a watchable match at this stage. This kind of had to happen though.
Agreed. They've been building to this for a while now so it kind of had to happen. However, I'm not expecting the match to be good by any stretch of the imagination.

I thought they did a decent job building it this past Thursday. With Joe's barb on the mic at the start, and the finish to the main event, it was a nice, effective way to get some buildup down.

Yeah. I thought that whole opening segment was one of the best things TNA have done in months. It all worked very well and added a lot of build to a number of matches on this PPV. Joe is probably underrated on the mic at this stage.
