Joe and Nash have been training together here and there, so I really wouldn't be surprised to see a decent match come out of this. Only thing is, unlike Nash's feuds with a previous X-Division wrestler, his power made the match watchable. I'm not sure how this match is going to go, but I wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the top two matches of the night, following the main event.
Yeah. I thought that whole opening segment was one of the best things TNA have done in months. It all worked very well and added a lot of build to a number of matches on this PPV. Joe is probably underrated on the mic at this stage.
The only part that wrecked it was Steiner on the mic. I'm going to watch the replay just to count how many times he said 'you see'.
I thought the ending to the promo was a little weak, but definitely some nice build.

Yeah I expect it to be. Its got a lot of build and is part of the major angle in TNA right now, so why not? I am sure it won't be a particularly good match but there is a lot of build there and a lot of interest in the MEM angle in general. This has been built for months with Nash working with Joe and eventually turning on him. I expect it to get a high slot on the card and get a fair bit of time too, but I am almost certain this will have a dirty finish. In fact, this and the main event both will. We are going to be seeing even more of that in TNA now that the MEM have formed.
EDIT: James, I loved Steiner on the mic on IMPACT!. He was hilarious and serious at the same time when he was owning the young guys. He gets heat and seems genuinely pissed off. If anything I want to hear more of him on the mic. Its entertaining.
"A few weeks prior to signing with WCW, I witnessed Hogan wrestle Flair on Nitro. Now strictly from a fan perspective, it was very hard to watch. What I witnessed that night was two legends that were shells of their former selves still trying to do it. Watching Hogan & Flair that night just wasn't right. In my opinion the bookers were just exploiting them to try to pop a number. It was a desperate situation and that's exactly the way it came across on TV."

Are you saying you would watch Punk fuck a bald chick in a porno?

I'm saying I'd watch Punk alone in a porno.
I enjoyed that promo, once you get passed the stuttering and the 24 times Steiner said 'Punkass' it was pretty good.
Yeah in my opinion his flaws just make him more entertaining. I think he did well in that segment and I want to hear more of him on the mic in the future.
I am actually interested to see Kevin Nash wrestle tonight. I have not seen him wrestle in a long time and I am not expecting much from the match, so he may well surprise me and produce something decent. He has the right guy to work with, although Joe himself has been worse recently. That said, it is tough when you are constantly facing guys like Booker, Sting, Nash....
Even when he faced Angle to win the title, they gave it a fail stipulation, and the last few minutes of the match just showed how great the match could and should have been were it not for the MMA failure.
