Breaking: Big Star Returns At TNA Tapings (Spoilers)
ProWrestling.net reports that Scott Steiner returned to TNA at tonight’s iMPACT tapings and joined the Main Event Mafia. The group now consists of Steiner, Kevin Nash, Booker T, Kurt Angle and TNA champ Sting. Original plans called for Steiner to actually align with the younger stars, but obviously things changed.
The new set also made its TV debut and all of the wrestlers had new video packages for the HD conversion. The wrestlers all enter from the same stage, which enabled TNA to add around 400 seats to the Impact Zone. The new stage still has two tunnels leading up to it for the faces and heels, but just one ramp going down.
Steiner could be like the enforcer of the group. Not bad.
How is Scott Steiner considered a "Big" Star.....I was thiking somebody like maybe Goldberg, somebody who actually was famous once and then burned out faster than Scott Steiner on Steroids.

Scott Steiner is known as a big star due to his outstanding work in WCW and for being part of one of the best tag teams ever. The guy is old, and brittle - Then again, who in the main event mafia isn't - but he's still known as a big name in wrestling
I would've figured that Nash would be the enforcer of the group. Although Steiner fits (obviously) and I can't imagine how they'd make him logically align with the younger guys though.

Well I both expected and hoped for this. I guess it can give a chance for Williams to align himself with AJ and Joe. I'm glad he didn't align with the young guys, it would have killed this storyline.

Oh god...Steiner? I never wanted Steiner back. He is just another one of those WCW guys that has invaded TNA and made it WCW V.2.

I'd love to see Daniels and Eric Young "man up" and drop the comedy masked gimmicks and align with Joe and Styles. The second this Prince Justice bullshit started Eric Young's momentum just halted. Remember when Joe had Eric come out and replace Hall after his half-shoot at that pay per view a few months back? Epic. Joe, AJ, Daniels and Young sound like a great foursome to combat Sting and his crew. Maybe add The Machine Guns to the equation, that's one hell of a "young guy" group.
