Well, in a result I sure as hell didn't expect (until Nash walked down the ramp >_>), we saw Sting become the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Now I have to ask .... why? Why does anyone want to see Sting as Champion?
THe guy was meant to turn heel, but he can't cut a heel promo to save himself. Joe is getting more heel heat than him. Whoever's brainwave it was to give Sting the belt should be taken out back, and put out of their misery, IMO.
Opinions on Sting, and him being Champ?

Sting has signed through 2009 now, which means that he will be here until at least BFG next year. So that definitely isn't it. Every former World Champion in the company but Sting let Joe go over them, and that's a testiment to his intents.

I'm actually happy Sting won. I can't really stand Joe. You can't really complain that Sting won, because he got his ass kicked pretty much the whole match. I'm looking forward to see if Sting actually keeps the title for more then a few days this year. I think he can pull off some good classic matches this year if he stays champ.

I don't care how much he got his ass kicked, yet another Bound For Glory ending with Sting holding up the title is bullshit. When is the last time Sting pulled off 'a classic match' ? I have certainly not seen any great Sting matches in TNA.
