Just wondering what people make of the role of special enforcer in TNA. Mick Foley has been named special enforcer for the Angle vs Jarrett match at Bound For Glory after he got involved in their feud in his TNA debut last night. I don't know what to make of this. It is fairly predictable, and I don't like the way every new signing TNA makes is booked so uninspiringly for their PPV debut. It was the same way with Angle at Bound For Glory 2006. It seems like it is just a way to get their latest big name on the card with as little effort as possible. Although not a big name like Foley and Angle, Matt Morgan was named special enforcer for the Cage/Joe match last year. It seems like this is becoming a Bound For Glory tradition.
Do you like this, or do you think they should have tried something new to introduce Foley to TNA?

I think they should of thrown him in a feud that would give him a lot of momentum and make his debut some what remarkable. Something to give the fans something to talk about.
They do this all the time. They somehow find a way to get their newly signed talent into the ppv. Christian Cage turned on team Canada costing them a match, Angle was an outside the ring referee, and Booker T was the mistery partner for Sting. I cant say I really care as TNA is just predictable to the point I saw something like this happening from the moment it was announced Foley was signed.
I like that TNA didn't have a "surprise" announcement on pay-per-view for once, I think them announcing the signing on the website was the smartest thing to do. - However, I really don't like special enforcers in matches, they're pointless; then again... I'd rather have him do that than be wrestling Kurt Angle.

So would I because I don't want his first match in TNA to be rushed. It needs to seem a huge deal when he eventually does step in the ring as a wrestler.
I still think the enforcer thing gets old though.

I honestly hate the idea. TNA has just been fucked up ever since BFG m/e was announced. I still like it better than him rushed into a match, but they just did this 2 years ago. Watch him turn heel as their little twist though >_>
This is the exact same thing that they did with Angle when he debuted with the company. He couldn't wrestle yet, so they stick him in as special enforcer in the Sting vs. Jarrett match. Seeing Foley out there will be nice, but it just seems so random.

I was going to make a similiar thread actually today into why the whole "Enforcer" thign is overused and poor. so ill just reply to this lol
When you think of all the hate TNA gets, you wonder why but then all you have to do is look at this situation. every year we see the same old crap.
2006 we had sting and Jarrett have there NWA title match and angle was the enforcer.
2007 we have Joe Vs Cage with matt morgan as enforcer
this year weve got a newly signed talent being Enforcer.
Seriously its absolute bullshit.
TNA basically play out one year of storylines and they repeat the same thing the year after. Its as if there playing smackdown Vs raw too get ideas. The whole enforcer thing should be dropped, its always the heel gets attacked by the enforcer and the face wins.
regarding foley he deserved a match and i think he should of been in monsters Ball. It suits him and with guys like Rhyno, Abyss and james storm it could of worked well. but once again TNA fails.
