Honestly, I don't think so just yet. I just don't think he's gonna be in this BFG Main Event. During or after his match this Thrusday, I see him snapping on Christian Cage, setting them up for a BFG match. Its been done, but these two will put on a great match, that AJ will come out on top. And as a heel, he will then proceed to go after Joe.
I think they are in the process of dropping the ball. Just like with Joe as I've said, he should be main eventing BFG and win the title on the biggest PPV of the year for TNA. But he won't.

When AJ became his own man, and was in the rivalry with Angle, I just knew soon he'd become the TNA champ. TBH, right now I could see him going back to where he was right before. Either that, or wait a long time to give him the title when his time could have already happened. I hope that doesn't happen though. I hope I'm wrong and AJ does become TNA Champ soon.
Their main event scene is just too crowded. They have too many main eventers, and there just isn't enough time/room. If TNA could actually get good ratings and a good fan base, I would love for them to have two weekly shows (ala Raw and Smackdown). It would definitely spread everything out, and they would actually be able to build people up. This is why there booking sucks. You just can't fit everything there into two hours. AJ is a former Champ in TNA and he will be one again by the end of next year.

Thinking about it I agree and disagree with you. The thing is TNA wants to push everyone at the same time. Booker, AJ,Joe,Kurt were all being psuhed into the Main-Event, or were already in it. Now you add Sting and Jarrett in, and AJ gets lost in the mix sadly. But thats another problem, TNA NEVER closes out their feuds right. They always leave it open so that more can come later. And when you do that,( like AJ/Kurt or AJ/Sting or AJ/Trigg) people will never be able to correctly get into the main event. Which is exactly AJ's case.
