To me TNA fans have changed recently. Back in 2002-2005 it always seemed they were nerdy looking people that attended there show but now i think that has really changed. Now your getting younger mid 20s fans who usually attend events or real wrestling and TNA is also getting some younger fans too.
But in the end of the day i really think that TNA fans are just WWE fans watching both shows or EX WWE fans. This is not a bad thing but i think thats there mainstream of PPV Buys, Audience attendence and Ratings.
I also think people back TNA because its mor eof the under dog show. they want WWE to have some competition just like WCW against WWF but this wont work unless TNA spread the word of TNA.
Anyway what do you think TNA's Fanbase is made up of and do you think the problem for TNA's downfall is due to the fans.
TNA's fan base is made of people who are allowed to get into Univeral Studios and the Impact Zone for free. Its also made up of some 2000 retards who buy ppv tickets only to realize that three weeks later tNA is giving them away for free. I honestly dont know what type of people make up TNA fans. I know I am a fan of WWE, but every once and awhile I get bored with WWE and start to watch TNA. Then I see Kurt Angle beating up the creative team in a red thong and flip flops and go back to WWE. I can only guess that the majority of the fans are like me, but I have no clue.

TNA's fanbase are either jaded WWE fans, people who have got in for free at the theme park, people who like athletic wrestling, or fans of all wrestling.
Notice, there are no casual fans, which costs TNA dearly.

People that attend their shows are probably just tourists visiting the park and decide to go to the show. I've never come across someone on the IWC who just watches TNA and no other wrestling promotion. That leads me to believe that probably a lot of TNA's fans are just fans of professional wrestling, and they will watch whatever wrestling they can.
