TNA wrestlers approaching/at/past their prime

Approaching their prime:

Petey williams: Petey can put on some top matches and still has a bright carrer ahead of him, he is loyal to tna which has been proving and really excels and improves in the ring. He has gained quite a success for his finisher and that move will definentely take him further then where he is now. I think petey will either dominate the x division or even give the world title run a try and i believe he would go quite well when guys like nash, sting and angle are out.

EY: Eric young may have some things which do not work in hsi favor like being the entertainment factor of TNA and his new adopted persona of super eric isnt helping him but if he dropped the crap and went out the same way as when he was in team canada then i would nto be suprised if he becomes one of the top performers in the next 5 years, He is gifted outside and in the ring and in the ring and with the right booking and creative then he could really excel in TNA.

Guys in their prime:

Kurt angle: Many say he isnt as good as he use to be but i personally disagree, I think he is if not better. Just look at his match at lockdown between samoa joe for the tna world heavyweight title. That match may have been one of the ebst of all time yet even though he lost he put joe over in that match perfectly and it just proves that angle still has the fuel in the tank. Angle may not be as quick as he use to be but he is still as talented with his amatuer submission style and still puts on show classing matches. Id say maybe 5 yrs he should retire but for now he is perfect were he is.

Christian cage: He may of wrestled now for quite along time, He was in wwf in 98 so for awhile but abck then he was quite young and new to the spotlight of WWF. I feel he ahs never been as good as he is in the ring and he is extrmely promotable with his look. he is tops on the mic and probably the best to date and has put on soem epic encounters with angle, sting, rhyno and jeff jarrett. I feel christian cage may even have 10 more years until it is time to hang up his boots. I know people are thinking 10 years come on but seriosuly he has one the NWA title 3 times yet he still has so much more to acheive in the wrestling industry and i fell that he can fulfill that in around 10 yrs time.

AJ styles; AJ has never been better, In my opinion the most innovative athelete off all time and even though eh ahs had thousands of matches he still hits somethign new every week and it is just amazing. He hasnt held world gold in quite a while and i feel that he should very soon so he stays with TNA and really excels in wrestling. I feel he is one fo the all time greats in wrestling even though he is not a big man. Id say 10 yrs then he should hang up the boots but i think he wont be as quick in 10 years either.

Past their prime

Booker T: the guy was done when he was king booker, I personally find him stale and not any good in the ring. And the only good thing he can do is breakdance which has nothing to do with pro wrestling. He should of hung his boots up 18 months ago and when they try to hog the spotlight like he is doing it brings down there reputaion as a professional athelete

Sting: I was a massive fan of sting, But it seems he just doesnt wanna quit. I knwo he loves the buissness but enough is enough. he is sloppy in the ring on the mic and he looks like a skeleton. he should of hung up the boots when WCW sold out and i feel in a way it has brang down his repuation as an athelete.

Kevin nash: The men in his prime was as slow as my grandma and now look at him 10 years later. He can hardly walk and it takes him time to hit the jacknife so he uses the chokeslam. He is entertaining without doubt but it just gets boring after a hwile watching him travel at 1 mile per hour. he should of hung up the boots after his stint in WWE when NWO retrurned and should of not retruned in 2003 or gone to tna.

VKM: many people say these guys are down and in a way yeah 50% i agree. That 50% is the road dogg jesse james. the guy is fromt he 80s for god sake. He is ok in the ring but he isnt fully confiedent anymore and billy gunn just out performs him because of it. hang up the botts before it is to late

what wrestlers do you think are at,past or not even at there prime

I wouldn't really put Angle in his prime. Don't get me wrong, he just had a great match with Styles and I believe he can still put on great matches as long as he wants. The thing is though that he is in so much pain, and the injuries are just going to come back and bite him in his ass. I don't know any pro wrestler out there that has more problems with them than Kurt.

Yeah Angle is past his prime and probably won't be wrestling very much longer, but he was so good in his prime that he is still very capable now. I won't let his lack of great TNA matches effect my opinion of him too much, because no one has great matches in TNA, or if they do, its extremely rare.

I don't care if he is past his prime, Angle is still the best damn wrestler in TNA by a country mile.

I would rather watch AJ Styles over Angle any day.

The only matches Styles has had over the last, like what, year a half thats been any good has been his matches with Angle. Whilest I'm not particularly keen on the Joe/Angle cage match, it was decent (I suppose), and Angle has still had alot of other half-way entertaining matches.

That said, Styles is the only one that really comes close to Angle at the moment.

I'm struggling to think of great Angle matches in TNA.

Angle has had some alright matches, Styles hasn't really had anything that enjoyable in like forever (before the LMS). Maybe I'm saying Angle is better because I like watching his Japan work (more than AJ's)
