Your thoughts on the ending to Booker/Joe at Victory Road?

Now that Victory Road is over I want to hear what you many users here at Wrestling Society have to say about the controversial ending...here's my take.
You build this entire trip to Houston Texas including tonight's Booker promos and center everything around what was going to be a classic: Joe vs. Booker. Instead we got some outside fighting and a Joe tweener slash heel turn in which he just beats the crap out of referees, body guards and officials while Don West and Tenay try to defend Joe in this bizarre ending. Hell I wouldn't even call it a match...it was just...bad...I mean WCW 2000 bad. Sting coming out, getting involved screwing Joe over and then Sharmelle making the cover was just incredibly stupid booking but again this is just my opinion and I could easily be wrong but not even a DQ! Just a no contest ending...nothing happened!
Seriously, this is one of TNA's biggest PPVs of the year and it's put outside of Orlando in Booker's home town. Im not saying Booker should or shouldn't of won but that was a bullcrap ending above all. If your going to do that crap, do it on TV to tease for a decisive ending at a PPV but not at one where your companies growing success counts on it. Let's face it, whether this angle leads to something interesting or not, that match was riding on so much that the overall lack of wrestling and intrigue of some close calls made it the most disappointing match of the night. Most of, if not all those tickets and PPV buy rates for that match alone and the fans got jabbed by some bad booking.

I am just amazed at the whole atmosphere. I mean yes Booker was the hometown guy but jeez that had such terrible build up in my opinion. The crowd was FULLY behind him it was amazing. And I have to say by far that was the HUGEST heat I've ever heard at a TNA or NWA-TNA event. Joe played it off great and it was cool to see him snap and sort of return to the old Samoa Joe. As for the ending I was surprised. Sting is one of the good guys of good guys so I didn't expect him to hit Joe. I thought it was going to be corny and Nash was going to turn on Joe, only for Sting to rescue. THANK GOD that didn't happen. I am not in to Sting and haven't been since 1999. But the little part he played was kinda cool. As for Booker winning I have mixed thoughts. Although Kayfabe wise he REALLY didn't. That was a akward ending and if TNA is smart they put effort into creating a good story within this feud. It was weird it is as if Joe and Booker completely switched roles of heel and face. Untill Book got the cheap win. But as I said kayfabe wise you can't really call it a win.

I didn't watch the show, so I'm kind of confused on what exaclty happened. It was quite obvious that Booker was gonna over, considering it is in his hometown. I don't like the match ending in a no contest. I don't know if TNA didn't want Booker to lose in his hometown, so they did it like this. Or I don't know if TNA did this add a new spark in Joe's character.

The ending was bad, but while the match was going I thought it was very good. THis was classic TNA booking where it became very confusing, but Joe/Sting is intriguing, Heel Joe sounds epic, and I'm def turning into TNA this week to see what happens.

Well if it ends the way someone already said it ended, fuck watching TNA for the next year and a half. They've been building Joe as a champion for so long, then out of nowhere...you know what, nevermind, it's not even worth caring about anymore.

Meh, Joe can always have a reign later. He's been champion for three months and that's a decent amount of time when you have guys like Sting, Booker and Angle in the hunt. I honestly hope Booker T wins it. It'll add more prestigue to it. Just one more name of credibility to the belt is Booker T. I liked the ending, though. Very nicely played, imo.

if the reason tna decided to take the title of joe and put on booker because of the way joey phsyic. i didn't see the ppv. personally hearing about i quite frank don't care. the match from the way it was described was good. the ending sucked, from reading it was weird. it made sting looked heel, booker t looked face, joe look like a tweaner. it so confusing. hopefully tna gets their shit together so we don't have to see crap like that for a long time.

I too have yet to see the PPV, but I guess this whole thing ties in with the whole 'Cross the line' thing where superstars aren't distinct to their disposition. I think it was a great way to get Booker T over in his hometown, and great heat by the way in which he 'won'. I'm guessing their going to do another 'steal the World title' storyline like they've done a fwe times in the past, but this is intruiging to say the least.
