Last night at Slammiversary, Abyss made his long awaited return after the Kaz/Petey match, giving Petey, Steiner and Khan black hole slams after they were triple teaming Kaz.
What did you think of the return, and what do you see Abyss doing in the near future? Will he get a main event push anytime soon?
I loved the return, but I mark for Abyss. The mental institute clothes with 'PARKS' and his number on the back were awesome, and it was great to see that the mask was still intact, a new grey mask. I do fear that they still might demask him in the near future though.

I didnt see it, but by the sound of it, TNA failed beyond belief.
Abyss leaves after laying some smack on his stepbrother and father, both of which are not in the company anymore or at least Mitchell is inactive. Then he disappears for a few months only to return with promos where he is wearing no mask. He comes back and destroys two jobbers, and lets be honest, they will never be main events. Its pretty much your classic return, " Woot I'm back, woot I'm strong, hey look a new mask!" As of right now there is nothing special to be honest. I still say TNA will end up throwing him into more tacs sooner rather than later, but hey the return of hardcore matches to TNA right!?
I honestly think Abyss returned good. With the mask thing, he was in a fuckin insane asylum...they wouldn't let him be in a mask there(not like they showed his face anyway). Abyss vs Steiner will prob turn out good, and I honestly don't expect a gimmick from this feud, cuz I don't think Steiner will do it, atleast not Ayss hardcore.
They wouldn't let him have a mask, but they'd let him have a camera in his cell, and send out videotapes for him to TNA, without seeing whats on them, where he says he's not cured... right!? lol to be honest a lot of things in wrestling are not 100% accurate and explainable. It is about suspension of disbelief, and I personally didn't think of all that stuff. It was a nice return, maybe it could have seemed a slightly bigger deal, but I enjoyed it. It looked great when Steiner threw Petey into a Black Hole Slam, and obviously I marked for the move on Khan.

Honestly if you expect everything in professional wrestling to be realistic, you need more help than the institution's staff need.
Anyway it sounds decent. Not anything amazing and I don't like that he helped anyone as I like Abyss the loner, personally. But the look seems cool.

Throughout the history of wrestling alot of things don't make sense.
Granted in TNA, nearly nothing does, but eh. I think picking apart little things like that shouldn't really matter.

What shouldn't matter, the fact that TNA teased Abyss to return in grand fashion only to have him destroy two jobbers and a woman or the fact that TNA teased him returning with no mask only to have him return with a mask?
