In a recent interview, Booker T said that Samoa Joe is the the future of TNA.
Booker also said that Joe still has a lot of work ahead of him. I agree with this. Even though Joe is the champ, does not mean that he is carrying the brand. I can't see him soley carrying TNA until a couple more years, like Angle has done since debuting.
So this got me thinking, is Joe really the future? Or is it someone else in TNA?

The future is never just one guy, but TNA obviously consider Joe their most valuable asset for the future and I wouldn't disagree. People say he has deteriorated a bit recently but even if that was the case, he is still a great wrestler and could be top face for a long time, even if TNA did miss the boat with his push.
I would say AJ Styles is the future too though. He is getting a huge push now, and is one of the most exciting wrestlers to watch in the world, especially as a face. He has been there since the very beginning but I imagine a lot of newer TNA fans have only seen him as the retarded heel lackey, and will be seeing epic face AJ for the first time.

Joe probably should be the future, but he won't be because TNA won't allow him to be. They'll continuously overlook him, by bringing the latest WWE castoff, and letting them overshadow him. TNA's PR machine will consistently not have Joe do anything outside of Spike Television, which would include a Conan O'Brien or Jimmy Kimmel show. He'll hold the belt and only be known to the TNA fanbase and the ROH fanbase still wishing he were there. TNA will continue to do 1.0 and 1.1 somehow that will all be Joe's fault, while the hottest WWE castoff will come to TNA the show does a 1.2 and he's hailed as TNA's savior.
A.J. will still be underused, ditto for Lethal, Dutt, Daniels, Roode.
Yet the Women's Division will still continue to draw.

Go Figure.
LOL...honestly when was the last time you watched TNA? That response would be good 3-4 months ago...but now, hell naw.
