It seems like an easy request and yet TNA can't seem to do it. What I want to see is just ONE pay per view where TNA doesn't cram a ton of stipulation matches in. Now, it's clear that stipulations have been on an upswing on all companies. The WWE normally has at least one stipulation match per ppv and ROH has their traditional stipulation matches that they always do. However, no one does it more than TNA.
Let's take a look back in the past year of TNA:
Sacrifice 2008 - An entire tournament of unlikely partners. Thunderdome X Division Match. Triple Threat for the World Title. Makeover battle royal with one woman getting her hair shaved and another is the number one contender.
Lockdown 2008 - An entire fucking ppv of various cage matches.
Destination X 2008 - Triple Threat Tag Match, 3 way women's match, Fish Market Street Fight, Strap Match, Elevation X, and a 6 man tag.
Against All Odds 2008 - Double Briefcase Match, Barbed Wire Massacre 3 and Hardcore Street Fight 6 Man Tag.
Final Resolution 2008 - No DQ Women's Match, Hardcore Match, Mixed Tag, Drinking Championship 3 stages and Ultimate X.
Turning Point 2007 - 6 Man Tables Match, Feast or Fired Match, Match of 10,000 Tacks and 6 Man Tag.
Genesis 2007 - Shop of Horror's Match, Women's 4 Way, and a Ladder Match.
Bound for Glory 2007 - Ultimate X, Reverse Battle Royal, Tables Match, Gauntlet Women's Match and Monster's Ball.
No Surrender 2007 - Guantlet Tag Match, 3 Angles, Pac Man non wrestling wrestling match.
Hard Justice 2007 - 3 Way Tag Match, Bar Room Brawl, Humiliation Match, all titles on the line match, and Doomsday Chamber of Blood.
Victory Road 2007 - Ultimate X, Mixed Tag Match, and Match of Champions Match.
Slammiversary 2007 - Freedom Match, No-DQ Match, King of the Mountain, Football player and 57 retired wrestler in action.

Honestly, why should fans even give a shit about stipulation matches in TNA anymore? Does TNA not realize that overdoing stipulations makes them worthless or that to make a stipulation work, there needs to be a real feud?

I don't mind much all those gimmick matches you put there, I mean wrestling is wrestling, even if they have to put them into coffins and raise those to the ceiling etc. =) Some things work better than others but overall view is I am not 'bugged' or anything by them.
It is just horrible as far as I am concerned. What is the one thing you can do to make any gimmick match seem pointless? Do a ton of them at every single PPV. The overkill is just a joke. When you look at that list of PPVs, it really hits home just how much TNA have cheapened any gimmick they can ever come up with, and the fact that they book one off matches with names like 'Doomsday Chamber of Blood' makes it seem even more of a joke. How can a big street fight in a personal feud draw when we see this shit ALL THE TIME?
Also, it makes TNA's PPVs bad. You can't have a good PPV when it is packed full of that shit.
I actually agree with Jim that TNA has become a parody of a wrestling company.
And to think, there are STILL people who say TNA is wrestling while WWE is sports entertainment. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I think gimmick matches serve a purpose in wrestling.
What? You thought that was all I was going to say? I also think TNA kills the use of a gimmick match to the point any gimmick seems useless in TNA. Ohay, lets use a ladder match @ every PPV. mtfo. Cage? We have a PPV full of em, but we can use em whenever!
Now I assume someone will come at me and say 'Well WWE are having a cage match'!, and first, let's not make this a WWE vs. TNA Debate and second, a main event feud in a cage match... insane.

You guys need to take under consideration that the E's been around for decades, while TNA has been around for 6 years.. They're still trying to draw with these PPV's.
If you can say TNA ppvs are bad, then I'll tell you you're a jackass because all of TNA's ppvs deliver, its the booking I have a problem with.
Booking directly affects the matches. If you have two guys in a shitty fued with a shitty gimmick match, it doesn't matter how good they are wrestling-wise, you won't have a good match.

I disagree. I don't think all of TNA PPV deliver. Sacrifice for example. It should have been way better than that, and as you said, it honestly was the booking.
One thing with TNA, thier PPVs and iMPACT! matches are like the same quality. *-***. you can't get a GOOD/GREAT PPV with a bunch of *-*** matches, with one or none above average.
