It was for Monstor's Ball. Raven and Abyss are long time enemies in TNA, plus the fact that Abyss is feuding with Richards, Raven made sense.
To me it doesn't make sense for somebody to ramdomly return and attack a guy with a cane, have one random mixed tag match and then leave again. I'm aware of the history, but that doesn't make it a good decision to bring him back for such a short period of time.
Anyway Im starting to get really, really annoyed @ TNA! Im a person who watches their show every week {I tape it, so I can fast forward ads}, however, it seems as though I tune in less and less - why? I thought this was total nonstop action wrestling. No joke, this week, the first 1/2 hour of the show was promos/adverts. Then, first match is cody deaner {WTF~!} vs Amazing red {seriously underutilised - but this is TNA so go figure!}, so this doesnt really count.
The we get 15 mins of more ads/promos/interviews {OT: one that really stood out was the interview with nash. No point whatsoever - so the dude works for money, WTF does that have to do with anything???} before Eric Young has a decent match with Rhyno & the annoying Jesse Neal {is this guys story kayfabe or not? Who cares! He holds my interest as much as Shane Sewell did!}. Followed by more promos/ads/backstage interviews.
I remember one week ECW had more wrestling than TNA. That is sad for a company that promotes - nay - promoted itself of having Total Nonstop Action~!~!~!~!
Shane Douglas' return? Laughable! Joe heel turn? Laughable. MCMG, a team that has been together for two years - who are for some reason heel, are not tag team champions, or have yet to be tag champs? Laughable.
Dear me TNA, 2003-2005 were awesome, please bring those years back! The only thing keeping me {and im sure a lot of other people} watching is MCMG, Lauren {is sexay!} and Scott Steiner....
They didn't "release" TNA. No Limit came over to TNA as part of the talent agreement with New Japan Pro Wrestling, they weren't gonna be long term TNA wrestlers.
Jacqueline AFAIK is still working backstage at TNA, maybe removing her from the roster just means they have no plans to bring her back on TV.
I don't mind the promos TBH. Nash's interview was supposed to go further into why he did what he did last week on Impact (when Sting tried appealing to Nash's sense of honor, but Nash says he is in this business to make money and not for friends or honor).

I think I read they signed them for two years to stay in TNA. Though that may just be Kiyoshi.
