TNA are fucked at the moment. They can't go in the sports entertainment direction because WWE owns them at that, and they can't go in the pure wrestling direction becasue ROH owns them at that.
They need to find some sort of happy medium and stick with it.

So you're saying TNA can't become a wrestling based company because a not a well known indy fed that has loads of trouble even making revenue from PPVs does it better? :/
Well, in a way. Most casual fans won't care about pure wrestling like ROH, so they will be more inclined to go down the sports entertainment route, which WWE dominates. Those who do care about more back to basics wrestling will most likley know they have to look towrads the indy feds, and won't bother with TNA because it's too sports entertainment-y for their liking.
TNA just need to get the balance right as you say. They could easily produce a show with the same sports entertainment aspect that WWE fans love, but at the same time provide styles of wrestling not seen in WWE. For a while they were doing that quite well.
Maybe TNA should try to have interesting storylines and wrestling matches with characters that don't seem like they are remodeled after a current or past wrestler.
