If its anything like everything that's happened so far in this storyline, the Originals probably won't react at all.
You expect them to? Christian has constantly refused to pick a side, why should the Young Guns put themselves in harms way to save someone who is supposed to be a member of the Main Even Mafia now?

No, I don't expect them to really react to what happened to Cage. I just don't particularly like that the Originals (or whatever they are going to be called when they get an actual name) haven't really reacted to much of anything so far.
Bearing in mind that I'm a relative newcomer to TNA who is intrigured by the whole MEM storyline and trying to use it as a way to get "into" TNA... Now I have absolutely no issue with the MEM being booked to be the stronger of the two groups off the start. Its a necessity, really. Both in the ring and in the storylines, you have to make the "bad guys" look like a threat or there's no intrigue. TNA is doing that. But you also have to give the fans a reason to cheer for the "good guys" and that's where I think TNA is faltering.
Maybe the people watching who are already fans of TNA don't need any better reason to get behind the Originals than Styles and Joe are part of it. But as a casual semi-fan, I'd like a reason to get behind them. Something to make them interesting or worth cheering for. And I'm not getting it. Steiner attacks the Originals one week and then verbally buries them the next, and no response from the Originals. Cage refuses to join the Originals and no response from the Originals. The MEM interfere in the match between Sting and Styles and cost Styles the win, and no response from the Originals. The individual events are fine, as they are building up the MEM. But you expect some reaction from the Originals and nothing is forthcoming. That's the issue I have with the booking of this story.
I think it really comes down to the Originals not having anyone who's really good in the mic besides Styles. Most of the guys in the Mafia can talk. The thing is, you can have the Originals respond in other ways. Or give them someone who can talk - I'd love to see Christopher Daniels dump the Curry and get involved.
That's what I meant about the Originals not responding.
I really liked this Impact. Thought they did a great job to get Rhino involved in this storyline. I really believe Rhino does a fantastic job of selling everything he does out there. I can't wait to see the Angle vs. Rhino match and I also think you are going to see a Foley heel turn soon.
We open the show with replays of what happened last week with the MEM and Christian Cage as the main focus.
MEM are first on the scene. They show up with a casket. JB questions it and Angle says it is to give Christian Cage a proper burial.
After the opening credits the casket is brought to the ring. MEM soon follow. Angle says MEM beat Christian to within an Inch of his life before sending him back to WWE. Angle asks if anyone has any final words to the departed Christian Cage. Rhino takes up the offer. Rhino says he has something to say. Without missing a beat Angle tells him to say it. Rhino says if anyone has a problem with Christian making the decision to leave TNA then they should have done it man to man one on one. Rhino says he wont stand for his friend being jumped. Nash says the MEM don’t give a damn about what Rhino has to say. Rhino says he is a veteran and Nash should respect him. Nash says they only respect those who respect the MEM and TNA. Christian Cage didn’t. Rhino calls the MEM a bunch of egomaniacs. Rhino says the MEM are not about respect, they are just scared of losing their spot to a younger generation who are a whole hell of a lot better than MEM. Booker challenges Rhino to come to the ring and say it to their faces. Rhino charges to the ring. Five on One sees Rhino beaten down and busted open. MEM shove Rhino into the casket and close it.
Backstage to Jarrett and Foley next. Foley asks Jarrett when did he accept Angle's challenge for Final Resolution. Jarrett says he didn’t and doesn’t give a damn who is backing Angle. Cornette? Jarrett tells Foley to go to the ring tonight and announce the Final Resolution Main Event just like they discussed. Jarrett says they are taking back their house.
Reaction from The Young Guns now. MCMG show up late. Joe isn’t happy with Shelley making jokes about it. Styles asks what the problem is with MCMG and challenges them to do it in the ring in a match. Shelley doesn’t seem interested and insults Styles before Foley steps in. Foley makes the match for tonight. Joe and Styles vs. MCMG. Foley then says he hasn’t even started to deal with Shelley yet.
Sonjay Dutt & Tanahashi vs. Consequences Creed & Jay Lethal
SoCal Val needs to be on TV a lot more! I don’t mind Sonjay being AWOL too much but Val is greatness. Creed is getting better with every match he has. Creed counters a Reverse DDT from Sonjay into a TKO for the win.
Consequences Creed & Jay Lethal def Sonjay Dutt & Tanahashi
The Beautiful People seem to have a fairly decent locker room, thrones for Velvet and Angelina but not for Kip. They make fun of debutant Sojourner Bolt's name before making fun of Christy Hemme. Angelina Love tells her the ring isn’t a strip club.
"My time for redemption is drawing near, The pain that I have buried for all these years, is ready, to be unearthed, all the agony, all the suffering, all the anguish, ready to be unleashed, my patience is worn thin, the time for payback has arrived, who am I?, I am Suicide"
Feast or Fired is coming back at Final Resolution. A reminder that last year Petey won the X-Division title, VKM were torn apart, and long-time TNA member Chris Daniels was fired. I think Curry Man might get the fired case this year for some reason.
Office of Jim Cornette (Funny i mentioned him earlier isn’t it?) now with Sheik Abdul Bashir, Shane Sewell and Eric Young. Cornette forced Sewell to give the title back to Bashir and then puts him on probation. If Sewell touches one more wrestler he is gone. Cornette gives Young a title match against Booker as compensation for having to give up the X-Division title.
The Beautiful People vs. Sojourner Bolt & Christy Hemme
Bolt is seeing a lot of action in this one and looks like she could become a permanent addition. With the exception of a kick from Angelina Love not looking good there hasn’t been anything she has done wrong. Hemme cleans house until Cute Kip gets up on the apron and gets smacked by Hemme for it. Angelina Love hits Hemme with Lights Out for the victory.
The Beautiful People def Christy Hemme & Sojourner Bolt
Hemme has grown a lot in popularity recently and the fans were really behind her when she got tagged in.
Rough Cut with LAX member Homicide. He started wrestling in 1993. He would start training at midnight and not stop until seven or eight o' clock the next morning. Homicide apparently has a kid which i didn’t know. He says he cleaned himself up once he was born and started to really work towards his dream.
The debut of ODB's Angle. Can you figure out who its a shot at? Her first gust is Sharmell who looks quite scared of ODB's antics. Sharmell tells ODB she could do with some tips from a decorator for the set. ODB pretty much insults Sharmell for the first few minutes before finally getting serious. Sharmell says Joe and Styles may have started TNA but the MEM members made TNA. After some arguing ODB challenged Sharmell to a match at Final Resolution. Sharmell says anytime anyplace.
JB with MEM backstage. Angle says he has decided to help Mick Foley and thus has come up with two main events for Final Resolution. Himself vs. Jeff Jarrett and whoever wins between Styles & Joe vs. MCMG later tonight will get to pick two more guys to face the MEM in an eight man tag match.
Petey Williams is sidelined indefinitely.
Motor City Machine Guns vs. AJ Styles & Samoa Joe
Styles Clash by Styles on Shelley gets the win after a highly competitive match. MCMG lost but the put in a decent showing.
AJ Styles & Samoa Joe def Motor City Machine Guns
Post match sees the Angle and Booker run to ring while Nash tries to run to the ring. Steiner and Sting walk to the ring in suits. The other three are dressed to compete. The MEM have a 4 on 2 advantage and quickly do some damage before Lethal and Creed run in. MEM lay out the four TNA Young Guns. Except Sting who looked on approvingly from ringside.
Office of Traci Brooks is next where Awesome Kong, Raisha Saeed and Rhaka Khan have paid her a visit. Saeed asks if Traci has found Kong any new victims. Traci says she hasn’t as no one wants to face Kong cause she is an animal. Saeed tells Traci that Kong will now feed on innocent victims.
An update on the Young Guns now. Lauren begins to talk but Sabin is sent sliding across the floor, soon followed by Shelley. Rhino steps into the picture next with a bandage on his head from earlier. Rhino starts to rant saying he has fought similar wars. He fought to build a little company that would become ECW. Rhino says it doesn’t matter if its shit now as its not his concern anymore, his concern is now TNA. Rhino says if they are willing to fight with him, he will fight until the end. Rhino says he will fight until he bleeds every drop of blood out of his body.
TNA Legends Championship Booker T (c) vs. Eric Young
That was the best selling of Booker's Axe Kick i have seen in a while. Eric didn’t bend over and stay in that position like they usually do. He grabbed his ribs and turned while hunched over before bending over enough for Booker to hit the Axe Kick. A decent showing from Eric but he was never winning.
Booker T def Eric Young
Jarrett and Foley seem nearly inseperable. Foley is on his way to the ring. Jarrett says if Angle makes any move, he'll be there.
Team 3D first actually. Devon does the talking which takes Ray by surprise. Devon says they have done more in an hour than Beer Money have in there entire careers. Ray again questions why they haven’t been invited to join the MEM yet. Ray tells Beer Money to take the MEM advice and learn some respect.
Hermie Sadler (The NASCAR guy) is getting a show on TNA website. While he is explaining it to Lauren Awesome Kong comes up behind him. Hermie puts his arm around Kong which i’m guessing was a bad idea. Kong looks bewildered at Hermie putting his arm around her. Kong throws Hermie into a wall before kicking him in the chest. Great start Hermie.
Foley is a slow walker as we have a match next.
Kevin Nash & Kurt Angle vs. Abyss & Matt Morgan
Mike Tenay seems to be playing the booker now as he just said the eight man tag match that Angle proposed will be for the TNA World title. I don’t think Angle said that.
Angle put Abyss in a headlock. Abyss countered by simply lifting Angle off his feet and carrying him around the ring. Angle must have made it his mission to get Abyss & Morgan over as the past few weeks he has been selling like hell for them. Angle is a small enough guy, but Morgan makes him look like a midget. Beer Money make an appearance during the match. Abyss starts a fight on the outside with Beer Money, Storm smashes a bottle over his head. Nash with the big boot for the three count.
Kevin Nash & Kurt Angle def Abyss & Matt Morgan
Ten minutes left in the show and Foley finally makes his way to the ring. Foley says after recent events he is starting to consider that the MEM may be the past, present and even the future of TNA. Now onto Final Resolution, Booker T, Kevin Nash, Scott Steiner & Sting take on Samoa Joe & AJ Styles. Four on two? I’m going to assume Styles & Joe can name their own partners. Some combination of Rhino, Eric Young & Jay Lethal seems most likely. Foley then goes on to add Mike Tenay's idea to the match. If the MEM win, Sting keeps the belt but if they lose then AJ Styles becomes champion. Didn't we have a match like this before?
The second main event is Kurt Angle vs. Rhino. Lethal and Eric it is so. Angle isn’t happy and storms to the ring. Quite a promotion for Rhino in recent months, from being Taylor's bitch to a mini feud with Sheik Abdul Bashir to Semi Main Eventing a PPV. Angle wants to know why Jarrett wont face him at Final Resolution. Angle says the only thing he has yet to do is beat Jeff Jarrett. Angle blames Foley for getting involved at Bound for Glory. Angle goes on to say if he cant have Jarrett, he wants the next best thing, Mick Foley. Angle slaps Foley before Jarrett comes to the ring. Jarrett lays down the law and tells Angle that they play by his rules.
Jarrett says as bad as Angle wants the match with him, Jarrett wants Angle out of TNA even worse. Jarrett tells Angle that if he beats Rhino then he gets Jarrett in a rematch. But if Rhino wins then Angle's contract is null and void. Jarrett slaps Jarrett but ends the show flat on his back after a Gore from Rhino.
