Presumably Joe's only lost it so he can chase Sting and the "legends" for a few months, before finally gettint the title back.
On iMPACT! they added a No-Rematch clause. I'm not really sure who will be next in line now. I assume Joe will face Nash at Turning Point. Booker & Sting are on the same side. Cage & Styles both lost. Jarrett & Angle should be having a return match. Unless they hotshot Lethal who won & took Booker to the limit a couple weeks ago.

Re: Bound for Glory - October 12th 2008 - Chicago, IL
I hadn't even thought about Lethal, but it kinda makes sense with the way everything is panning out. Either that or Sting won't face anyone at Turning Point and the winner of Nash/Joe or Jarrett/Angle will get a title shot.
I was massively disappointed by this card to be honest. The X-Division Spotfest Cage Match was overbooked to the match, so much so I couldn't name all the participants off the top of my head. The mixed tag was awful. The X-Title match was meh at best, but had the right ending (I LOL'd). The Monsters Ball was overbooked as well, but entertaining nonetheless. The triple threat was shit considering AJ was in it. Angle/Jarrett was ruined by a dud finish. And the title match suffered from audience confusion (over who they are supposed to cheer) and a dumb finish.

That was one of the best things about the match concept imo. The fans decided who they wanted to cheer for, rather than being told who to cheer for. Started out about 50/50, then it shifted to Joe once he started beatingthe crap out of Sting, then went nearly fully behind Sting for the last few minutes.

What kind of retard, backward company has a dirty finish to the main event of their biggest PPV of the year? Do they honestly think that's what people want to see?

But for the respect angle to work the Joe needed to be the face, and the run up to the match should've been booked accordingly.
