SO it looks like the saying could take on a whole new meaning soon. For thoe who saw Impact you saw Sting get as close to a heel and I think he can get.
For those who didn't see it, he called out Joe and AJ for their disrespect of Booker and Angle and for taking things beyond a win in their last 2 PPVs and trying to inflict punishment on them. He said he didn't feel comfortable leaving TNA in their hands. AJ came to the ring and confronted Sting who gave him the bat and taunted him to take a free shot. AJ went to take it and Sting cut him off and laid him out.... As Sting comes to his feet Jeff Jarrett's music hits the arena...
It's appearant that we are going to have a line in the sand between vets and up and comers... but how clear will that line be.... and who is on who's side?
Also what kind of effect will this have on TNA ratings and their product. The fans were split last night as there isn't really a clear face and heel in this.

It was a great promo from Sting, but the problem was he kept getting cheered when he was supposed to be getting booed. I'm glad they finally decided on which way to go with Sting as it has dragged for a few weeks now.
After the promo last night, im not really sure what side a lot of people are going to be on. Christian Cage, Beer Money etc. Cage is Face but a vetern, Beer Money are Heel's but more on the youth side. Unless they throw dispositions out the window & just put those differances aside.
Im hoping for Sting to use Red Facepaint at least once during this run.

I think this will be GREAT. One thing I loved about TNA is that their characters are built for a storyline like this. We have a mix of vets who are heel and face and the same with the "younger talent" Guys like Matt Morgan, Bobby Roode, James Storm and the X Division in general could really get a good push and some decent face time and a good story to get ome momentum built for them. nWo was the back drop for during the rise of Goldberg and I could see Morgan getting a similar deal here.
As far as who is where... I'm not 100% sure all together, but you can bet that the Mick Foley will be brought into the mix for the vets at some point as could Stevie Richards for an X division push. On the other side you have guys like Lashley that could be brought it as well or another indy talent who is ready to break through. I think that a month or 2 down the road we will be looking back on now being the beginning of one of the better storylines that we have seen in wrestling for quite some time.

I think if they do this thing right though... they will let the people pick their sides and not have the clear face or heel. To me that concept could be something that would help them get over the plateau their rating has had.

I think this is a bit more unique than WCW. TNA hasn't been around for as long so it is more of a TNA original vs. Other Vets. Sure they are "the future" and are younger, but many of these guys were there when TNA was founded, and if they bring that into it, we should have a slightly fresher story line and it could expand into areas we haven't seen much of... This is a more unique situation so hopefully TNA will do it right
