If Ric Flair ever looked to reestablish the Four Horsemen and look in to T.N.A. He might very well find the perfect Horsemen. In the Name of Robert Roode. With a combination Style,Class,Good mic skills, and very good wrestling technic; theres probally no other wrestler more qualified to be a 4 Horsemen.
Roberto Roode might not be overly great good looking or tall, but he's just what a horsemen was ment to be.Infact if he ever made the four Horsemen. He could very well have pass all of their successors. That ever were part of the 4 Horsemen.Ole anderson,Tully Blancchard,Brian Pillman,Mongo McMichael,Barry Windam,Jeff Jarrett,Sting,Lex Luger Sid Vicious,Dean Malenko,Paul Roma, even Chris Benoit and Curt Hennigs.
All of those except for Ric Flair ,ofcourse.Though he could surpass,Arn Anderson .He couldn't ever replace him.As the Enforcer.Yes i know what your thinking.Like Danny Diamond would say: even though many of you would freak out about that. Don't ,don't scratch your heads i'm serious.
The only problem of having Robert Roode would be; if he ever wanted to take Ric Flairs place as leader, but considering the fact that he has demonstrated to be a good team player with his alliances to James Storm and Team Canada proves otherwise. He was able to abide to Scott D'Amore rules, so he just might abide to Ric flairs. At least till he feels it time to be Roode.
This could be an interesting concept, but I would prefer to leave the 4 horseman as they were. I'd prefer their legacy not to be drawn out and diminished by "TNA using old gimmicks to get over" But Flair would be a great mentor I believe to a new stable, similar to what we saw with Evolution.

I would LOOOOOOOOOOVE to see Roode in the WWE. Flair could come back somewhere WAY down the line and lead a new horsemen with Roode in tow.
I love that idea, but I think it would only potentially work in the WWE. TNA should never get the rights to the Horsemen.
Cool idea though. Roode is legendary, but is underexposed.

I agree that Roode is pretty much the total package waiting to tear into the main event scene. What's impressed me most of all is his mic skills. He doesn't feel the need to shout like the rest of of the TNA roster. He gets his point across in a very deliberate manner which seems like a lost art in TNA
So why hasn't he been headlining? I really don't get it with Roode. They seem to have everything they need. Size, ability, mic skills and natural heel skills for a nice title run.

Roode is excellent. Reminds me of Mr. Perfect, Flair, HHH & JBL. A little piece of all of 'em. He does have a win over Double J, and even though I despise Flair, a Four Horsemen would be best in TNA.
Flair
Jeff Jarrett
Robert Roode
Someone like Matt Morgan to be the muscle, comes to mind. They just seem like they'd be good. And if they brough in like the Briscoe's from ROH (I think thats where they are) They could potentially be the best stable around. As I said, I hate Flair, but the others I like, especially JJ & Roode.

robert roode is a snoozefest. his offense is boring. his mic work and demeanor is very generic. hes just an all around snoozefest.
Roode has a style which is reminiscent of the typical early 90's heel. He works the crowd to get a heel reaction. The last thing you want is the crowd to cheer for the heel such as petey williams, 3D, Booker, Angle, etc.
Roode's offense is methodical in that every move seems to have a purpose. If he starts doing flip piledrivers, the crowd would cheer for him which is the opposite of his purpose.
His mic work is solid. Not great, but very solid. Just because he doesn't shout at the top of his voice in evry promo doesn't make him generic. Angle, Joe and Rhino's promos are generic, where all they do is compete to see who can be heard from the furthest distance away.
In summary, Roode is simply waiting for his main event opportunity to happen

I've said it loads of times before, he needs one big feud to get to Main Event status. It looked like happening last year with Jarrett but then his wife died so the feud was cut short. I believe had that feud continued, Roode would be main event now.

i never said he has to do flip piledrivers to have exciting offense. but the fact is, roode has a slow pace mash up of elbows, forearms, kicks and stomps and he doesnt manage to make it exciting. you can have limited moveset and still manage to make it exciting. just look at the rock and austin.

i'll agree that angle, joe and rhino all are all pretty bad promo cutters(though angle used to be good). but in comparison, roode is just as bad. hes very generic and doesnt seem to improvise very well. did you catch his use of sarcasm last week? where he pretended to be upset with homocide's injury. that was just terrible. the only cool thing to ever come out of roodes mouth is "it pays to be roode".
i dunno man, maybe i just need to lower my standards. promos these days seem to have no flavor. theyre all so generic(not just roode's). dont you notice the difference between promo cutters like rock, austin, flair, savage and angle(early wwe career) to guys like orton, edge and roode. i sure do. the only one that comes close to touching past promo cutters is santino and hes a complete joke. i dunno, maybe i just need to sit down and enjoy wrestling and stop living in the past.
