I'll put a list of several wrestlers. Eric Young as Eric or Super Eric,Shark Boy as shark boy or impersonating Stone Cold,Jay Lethal impersonating the Macho Man,Christopher Daniels impersonation of the Curry Man.
From his days with WCW Sting did a well impersonation of The Crow, the movie had been released not to long & they changed his character.Because he felt disapointed with his friends when they believed he had betrayed them.So then he changed his character from the colorful sting to the darker side of him.Kind of like, Anakin Skywalker to Darth Vader. Cool.
When Jay Lethal first started doing his Macho Man imitations, I was really surprised at how well he did. His voice was on point and his look pretty good as well. He picked up all of Macho's mannerisms and had people wondering if this would piss off Randy Savage or win him over if he ever saw it. Hell, people were even speculating that Macho Man would be coming to TNA in order to either make Jay answer for this mockery or to give Jay the nod for his tribute. And listening to the interviews that involved the earlier Black Machismo were a real wonder of merriment as Jay did is homework for each by referencing some obscure Macho Man feud or enemy that would just come out of left field but would bring back a brief memory at the same time.
When Shark Boy first burst into his Stone Cold persona, I popped hard and even rewound the tape so that I could watch Sharkboy wake up from his coma again and deliver his lines. The first time that I saw Sharkboy in the ring as Stone Cold, I was mildly pleased, and even a bit excited. In the end, it was watching the web based Spin Cycles featuring Sharky and the backstage interactions with his partner Curryman that have won me over and hoped that the persona was here to stay as this was just what Sharkboy needed in order to be finally be seen as a usable entity in TNA
Now while these two men are both head and shoulders above the rest, I have to say that I am the most impressed with Christopher Daniels' portrayal of Curry Man. I have looked on Youtube and seen old footage of Curry Man and noticed that, in the past, Curry Man's moves heavily resembled those of Christopher Daniels. But when you look at his current inception, he has gone above and beyond to distance himself from the his former gimmick. For the non-smark fan who might be watching, you would never know that Daniels and Curry Man were one in the same. He sells the role better than any other masked Caucasian wrestler pretending to be a an Asian wrestler that I have ever seen. He talks the talk, he walks the walk, and he's damned good at it.
