I'm speaking about their respective characters of lack there of. they are sooooo vanilla. They are awesome in the ring.. but they don't speak.. they don't develop their characters, I have no reason to care about them besides their cool moves.
i do agree with you, i really do, but i'd rather see them out there doing highflying moves and kicking ass then see them rhyming and talking themselves up on the mic. you see the promotion is called TNA (total nonstop action) the key words there are "nonstop action."

The problem is, TNA only showcase "Non-Stop Action" for about 30mins every week. The rest consists of Joe crying on the mic, angle screaming in some fashion or another, Jeremy Borash stinking up the set, TNA insisting on showing all entrances for all participants for every match in its entirety (i think I counted 32 entrances a month or two back on an episode of Impact) and Eric Young wasting his time trying to find Elvis or Super Eric or his career which has been flushed down the toilet

Agreed about Shelley, he is worth giving the mic too from time to time.
Awesome team, maybe (at last) coming out of their "punishment period".
X-Cup could set them up again.
I'd like to see a bigger feud with LAX down the line.
I love their movesets, very innovative, my only gripe with any of their wrestling is that sometimes it's just too indy/cartoonish. I don't know how to explain this other than it's just sometimes too much. You know, the insane amount of kick outs, the incredible amount of moves. There's a fine line between the boring style that WWE sometimes showcases and the talents that are simply doing so much out there that it just looks "wacky!"
I guess they fall into a similar (but toned down) version of Brisco's to me. Occasionally I can watch the Brisco's and love it, but more often than not it's just "this match should have finished 15 minutes ago....you're doing too much!!" I feel a little similar about MCMG at times.
IM a mark of MCMG so ill just get that out the way but seriously they are by far two fo the most gifted men in TNA. Along with AJ Styles, Kaz and a few others and the know how to please a crowd. Just watch there little fued back at late 2007 early 2008 and you will see how innovative they were against Team 3-D and Johnny Devine. The can get a crowds attention in one singular move and thats why the are by no means generic. To me generic is matt Morgan or Tomko But not MCMG.
Also Shelly is awesome on the microphone and Sabin aint to bad either. I mean he aint as good as shelley but he can still cut a decent promo. But what i think makes you feel That MCMG are to generic is the fact that the got very limited air time. Like the X- Cup thingy only got them back on TV after like a two week absense. There not given the right to fully display there ability and i think in the future if the get a tag team title run then we will all see how great the motor city Machine guns really are
WWE talk more than TNA, i know they do talk but its fun watching them talk because its not one sided because theres about 6 different superstars in the conversation which makes it quite interesting, and most of impact is fighting, not "30 minutes" of it, atleats when TNA have matches they arent boring single ones with two strong guys walking around in circles, TNA have tagteams and all with fun contests such as the world cup. and also the story lines of the TNA superstars are atleast a little bit interesting, unlike WWE.

Then explain why this last year we've seen matches in TNA where The Dudleyz are being hit with fishes and why more then half of the shows have had less then 30 minutes of in-ring action?

Agreed. There comes a point where you can't follow the match because every other move is a finisher but everyone is still kicking out and then they're not selling the moves properly and you're left with a feeling like.. "What could actually beat one of these guys" and then something does beat them and you're like.. wait. He was pinned with that?!?!
Instant Classic, I'm not talking about their moves really or their in-ring work. For the most part, I love it.. My gripe is that we don't know anything about these two from a character standpoint because they never get a promo or a backstage segment.
