The actual paid attendance for the 6/8 Slammiversary at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southhaven, MS was 2,000, reports Dave Meltzer. If you will recall, we received reports of anywhere between 4,000 to 6,000 fans in the building, which means alot of freebies were given away for the event.
I think ROH drew better numbers than that for their WM weekend shows this year, hahah. But I guess they should be happy with these numbers, personally they couldn't pay me to sit through that shit.
Re: Paid attendence numbers for Slammiversary (Meltzer so probably made up)
Hahaha, what the fuck? Who gave some dumbass TNA mutant mod powers? Don't edit my shit because you can't handle the truth, I demand you fix my topic title or I'll have to take this up with one of the administrators. Feel free to disagree with it but don't edit my topic title just because you're butthurt that TNA can't draw for shit. Meltzer is the most credible news reporter in the business. Personally I don't agree with a lot of his opinions but when it comes to news he's more reliable than anyone else.
shouldn't this be in news and rumours? It's not really a "pure" TNA discussion - the forums seem to be getting a little messy.
anyways, my 2 cents: it all seems a bit wishy washy...anywhere between 4,000 to 6,000 in attendance...that's quite a large range. I havent heard how many the building could seat, but either someone can't count for shit, or the estimating skills of the source are as impressive as JB's acting skills
It's hard to tell what the numbers really are. Since TNA isn't a publically traded company they don't have to release the info and haven't in the past. And the fact that Metzler is the one to report mean nothing at all. I take what he says with less than a grain of salt
