SO AJ as been playing the moran role for awhile now and has done it masterfully. Now he is going into a program with Angle... My question is has AJ lost legitimacy with fans? If so will this return it to him and if not, what would be done to do so for you?
To me if anything this brings it back to the point that AJ is well rounded and can do more than just hat he does in the ring. I don't think anything has taken away from his in ring cred, but he has shown improvement in his ability to play on the mic, and I don't think it takes much to get him into a serious face role.... And I think what TNA is doing is just what is needed to do that.

I don't know.. I think it's possible to be both a bit of a moron but also serious when needed. It's called character development and something AJ has done well at this past year..
I like the good-natured idiot AJ Styles much more than anything else he's ever done. Plus, he gets to kiss Karen Angle all the time.. and whoa.. at that.
I agree with both of you. i dont think anything as been taken away from AJ with his moron role, i think its actually shown more personality and given him a chance to show different sides to AJ Styles.
His role being serious, stupid or whatever doesn't change the fact that he is one of the best wrestlers around
Yeah, AJ should always be playing the sort of cocky fan favorite. The moron role didn't really fit him and irritated me, but it at least showed that he's improved on the mic. And for once, TNA has booked something right which is his face turn.
I loved the role. I didn't like the "Prince AJ" spin on it but before that it was a great build up to where he was headed. To me I know it was a building gimmick and I am 110% fine with it when taking the whole picture into context

And he isn't that now. Basically the gimmick he has been using is great to springboard him into the main event picture to those people who are newer to TNA and don't know about AJ's history. Remember they say that the wrestling fan has about a 3 month memory span when it comes to this kind of a thing on average and he needed something to help him step into the place he is now.
