HUGE MAIN EVENT: TNA WORLD TITLE REMATCH Champion Samoa Joe vs. Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle
This past Thursday, Kurt Angle announced he was immediately using his rematch clause to get another shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship he lost to Samoa Joe at Lockdown. As a result, the big World Title rematch will take place this Thursday night on “iMPACT! on SpikeTV!
Less than two weeks after their war at Lockdown, Joe and Angle will collide one more time for the gold! The question is, can Samoa Joe hang onto the title in his first title defense against his longtime nemesis? Plus, will “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner – who will cash in on his title shot at Sacrifice – be watching the bout?
Don’t miss this huge World Title rematch this Thursday night on SpikeTV between Samoa Joe and Kurt Angle! WILL STING ANSWER BOOKER T’S CHALLENGE TO FIGHT? In addition, as “iMPACT!” went off the air this past Thursday, Booker T was livid with Matt Morgan and Sting regarding the outcome of the six-man main event. In fact, Booker T got in Sting’s face and told him that if he wanted to step up and fight, Booker would be up for it!
Now, the question is – will Sting answer Booker T’s challenge this Thursday night? Will it be the first-ever TNA match between Sting and Booker T? Or, will cooler heads prevail? Tune in this Thursday night to find out!
- Also this Thursday night, we’ll hear from TNA Management Director Jim Cornette regarding the controversy surrounding the TNA World Tag Team Championship. After the controversy surrounding the ending of the three-way bout this past Thursday, Cornette held up the championship and declared it vacant for the time being. This Thursday on SpikeTV at 9pm, Cornette will announce his decision regarding the situation!

Re: iMPACT! - April 24th 2008 - Angle vs Joe - TNA World Heavyweight Title Match
- In the much-anticipated main event, Samoa Joe successfully retained the TNA World Heavyweight Championship over Kurt Angle after Scott Steiner hit Angle with a steel pipe. Following the bout, TNA Management Director Jim Cornette announced that the main event at the Sacrifice Pay-Per-View would be Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle vs. Scott Steiner for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship!
- Thursday was a busy night for Cornette, who also announced that over the next few weeks on "iMPACT!" the "Deuces Wild Tag Team Tournament" would take place, with the finals to be held at the Sacrifice Pay-Per-View. Whoever wins the tournament will become the new TNA World Tag Team Champions.
- Cornette also announced a "TNA Knockouts Makeover Battle Royal" for Sacrifice. The winner will get a shot at Awesome Kong's Knockout Women's Championship - while the runner-up will get her head shaved!
- But Cornette wasn't done! He also revealed plans for a new TNA concept match, set to be unveiled next Thursday night on SpikeTV! According to rumors, the new bout will be the latest in a series of innovative TNA matches including The Ultimate X, Elevation X and Six Sides Of Steel!
- In the first of the Deuces Wild tournament, Team 3D defeated Black Reign and Rellik to advance.
- In the second Deuces Wild bout, Christian Cage and Rhino beat The Motor City Machineguns to advance.
- In the sub main event of the broadcast, Sting and Booker T defeated Robert Roode and "Cowboy" James Storm to advance. Following the match, Storm and Roode got into a shoving match over miscommunication that cost them the bout.

Re: iMPACT! - April 24th 2008 - Angle vs Joe - TNA World Heavyweight Title Match
I like the way Jim Cornette is getting a caracter like an insane boss. Lauren delivery of Jim Cornnette has officially lost it showed she may have some potential as an interviewer. Crystal is still better tho.
I dont like the name but tournament itself sounds like it will be good. I'd have put the Machine Guns over as they are a legit tag team whereas Cage & Rhino are singles wrestlers who just happen to be teaming recently.
3D vs Black Reign & RelliK was much better than it should have been. To me that shows 3D deserve to be in or around the title picture. RelliK is looking better now that he's not losing to X-Division guys one-on-one anymore.
I would be willing to bet that either Roode ends up with Booker or Sting ends up with Storm during the random teaming.
A good iMPACT! but not great. Cornette was featured a lot but it was in small enough doses. Overall a C + which is down a good bit from last week.
