| iMPACT! - Feburary 28th 2008 - Nash vs Angle, Ladder Match, Kong vs Love! ![]() In the main event on Thursday night, it will be TNA World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle facing off against “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash! Will AJ Styles and Tomko be on hand to back up the World Champion? You can be sure Samoa Joe will be there to witness the bout, as Joe is next in line for a World Title shot! TNAwrestling.com has also learned that Booker T plans to deliver a challenge to Robert Roode regarding their upcoming bout at Destination X, which according to Booker, will put an end to their war once and for all! All this and much more this Thursday night on "iMPACT!" on SpikeTV - plus new matches will be announced for the March 9 "Destination X" Pay-Per-View! | |||||||||||||||

| Re: iMPACT! - Feburary 28th 2008 - Nash vs Angle, Ladder Match, Kong vs Love! I dont know good of an idea it is for Nash to be wrestling again this week. Once every two or so months is enough. But if anyone can get a good match out of him, its Kurt. Kinda pointless to have a ladder match for a fake title. I'd expect RelliK (Thats Killer spelt backwards) to cost Eric the match. The good news however is, James Storm is bac on iMPACT! after being missing recently. I wonder how long it will take Kong to win? I'm enjoying the Booker/Roode grudge so hopefully this will be a good stipulation. | |||||||||||||||

| Re: iMPACT! - Feburary 28th 2008 - Nash vs Angle, Ladder Match, Kong vs Love! - On Thursday’s broadcast, Kurt and Karen Angle were still arguing about their career and marriage. In fact, Kurt was especially mean-spirited to Karen, making her cry as a result. Karen’s “other husband” AJ Styles came to her defense, with AJ even asking Angle to apologize to her, but the TNA World Heavyweight Champion wouldn’t hear any of it. - Kurt Angle faced Kevin Nash in the main event on the broadcast – Nash looked to have it won after hitting his Powerbomb on Angle, but referee Earl Hebner was on the outside (along with AJ Styles) tending to Karen Angle, who had been knocked down inadvertently by Angle during the bout. Kurt Angle took that opportunity to hit Nash with a low blow and score the pin with the Olympic Slam. - In addition, Booker T called out Robert Roode to settle their war once and for all, but Roode’s manager Payton Banks came out instead – telling Booker that Roode was en route and would arrive later. When Payton ended up slapping Booker, Traci Brooks came out and the two ladies brawled in a catfight! Later in the broadcast, all four TNA superstars ended up fighting again – and this time Roode and Banks handcuffed Booker and Brooks to the ring ropes and beat them unmercifully! - Shark Boy and Curry Man were scheduled to face Team 3D, but neither Brother Ray nor Brother Devon could make weight this week. As a result, Shark Boy put out an open challenge, which was answered by Black Reign and Rellik. Team 3D and Johnny Devine got involved in the bout as did Kaz and Eric Young...but once again, Young was afraid to get near Rellik and Black Reign! - In tag team action, “Big Poppa Pump” Scott Steiner (along with Rhaka Khan) and “Maple Leaf Muscle” Petey Williams defeated X Division Champion “Black Machismo” Jay Lethal and “The Guru” Sonjay Dutt when Williams beat Dutt with the Canadian Destroyer. Prior to the bout, Steiner told Williams that he was almost ready for his “initiation”…but Steiner didn’t elaborate what that meant. - Also on the broadcast, Eric Young faced James Stom in a Ladder Match for the Drinking Championship. Due to an apparent fear of heights, Storm was hesitant to climb the ladder – so Jacqueline did it for him and pulled down the title! However, after the bout “The War Machine” Rhino hit the ring and nailed Storm with a GORE – and also took the Drinking Championship in the process! - In singles action, TNA Women’s Champion Awesome Kong annihilated Angelina Love, even injuring her during the bout. After the match, both ODB and Gail Kim hit the ring to attempt to inflict damage on Kong before the three-way title match at Destination X. | |||||||||||||||

| Re: iMPACT! - Feburary 28th 2008 - Nash vs Angle, Ladder Match, Kong vs Love! I can't do it anymore. I put in a solid month of watching every TNA show and it is just fucking terrible. Don West and Mike Teney....I can't even find the words for how fucking bad they are. There's not one redeeming quality to TNA. Everything that happened over the past month left me shaking my head in disbelief and muttering "what the fuck was that shit?" Don't even get me going on Shark Boy. Who came up with that? some 5 year old? Oh, wait...it was likely Russo. Same difference. Where's the X-Division that I've heard so much about? Are West and Tenay still screaming even though the show is over? It's pathetic when the strongest part of your show/brand is your women's division. A ladder match for beer? The Dudleyz and Jenny Craig? | |||||||||||||||

| Re: iMPACT! - Feburary 28th 2008 - Nash vs Angle, Ladder Match, Kong vs Love! I think the ladder match was a way to end the Young/Storm feud while at the same time build the fact that Storm is afarid of heights (All of a sudden, from Youtube video's he looks to be the one who took the Hurracanranna from Elix Skipper in 6 sides of steel). The actual belt is a joke, literally. Its even a spinner belt. But, itis being used to see how a midcard title would work. How much it would be involved, who, why etc etc. Its better to use a joke to determine how it would be booked then to make a real title, then have it bomb. I dont mind Tenay & West most of the time. They are really good on PPV, except sometimes they should just be quite instead of talking for the sake of it. The biggest thing that annoys meabout them is calling the moves wrong, but if JR is the pace setter then they look brilliant compared to him recently. Shark Boy is a fun gimmick that the fans enjoy. He's not in a major storyline & he's nothing more than a lower card comedy act. If you dont want any humour in wrestling then go & watch ROH. I admit the X-Division needs a few new faces to freshen it up, but look at all the people who have moved up after being in the X-Division, Kaz, MCMG, Jimmy Rave, Homicide, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe. If its keeps prodeucing like that then whats the problem? WWE mindset when it came to your comment about the Womens division. How is it pathetic exactly? Whats wrong with Team 3D? They are entertaining the fans. But then again going by your sig you probably only laugh at jokes about dicks. | |||||||||||||||
