| Re: TNA Impact sucks West & Tenay are good? The comedy in Impact is good? Vince's arms are "flabby"?!! All opinions that are steeped in insanity...lol! The opinion as to whether the show sucks or not is irrelevant. That's just personal opinion and everyone has their own. The bottom line (I love using that, I stole it from Griff because it always makes what you're about to say look great!) is the company is held afloat by a money mark. This company is making no money and living hand over fist. The ways you recommend to improve the show Griff......they are "exactly" what the journos like Alvarez and just about everybody else have been suggesting for about two years now. And in that time these suggestions have been ignored and the company has carried on with 1.1, 1.2 ratings. It amazes me that almost 100% of people that are TNA fans (like yourself Griff in your comments above) have better ideas on how to book this show than they do. On a side note, it was laughable that the tiny increase in their TV rating was applauded from on high. All that means is that an even smaller percentage of the people watching Impact find it then necessary to buy the PPV. TNA make no extra money out of increasing from 1.1 to 1.2...it's an irrelevance. Not to cut to the chase Impact is an advert. An elongated advert. That's all it is. That's all it should be. That's all Raw is as well. They are one big advert to get you to part with your money at the end of the month so that each company can make money and get a profit. WWE converts a much higher percentage of their fans through their advert than TNA does, or ever will, with Impact in it's current condition. You say you prefer Impact to Raw, well good for you. But the show fails in it's premise because only 17,000 people out of 1.6, 1.7 million people then buy what they're asking you to buy....just 1%. And that's been the way it is for over two years. It tells me this show is a massive failure. Massive. I watch it myself and find it so insulting that I watch it in about 15 minutes going through in fast motion so I can pick out a tidbit of stuff that might be good. I stick with that because I know how awesome the Pay Per Views are and can be. There are only 17,000 people that know this and buy the PPV each month. It's just soooooooooooo frustrating. Nobody is ever going to buy their PPV's because their "advert" for the PPV is crap. Which is such a shame because those of us that know, know that you should buy the PPV, just don't watch the TV show! Did you see "Global Impact"....almost completely no comedy, no shitty angles, no everybody playing a mid card comedy act and nobody being above anyone else and what happened, it was greatness......even with Tenay and West sucking, because they stuck to what they're good at, wrestling. So yes, for me and millions of others, Impact does suck, but to be even more accurate and in language you'll all understand "Impact ph@ils". And lastly, great to read Griff's comments. Intelligent writing in the wrestling boards is always god to read even when I don't concur! | |||||||||||||||

As I have said already, and you have reiterated (why? I don't know), it is all about personal opinions. You like TNA, great. I love their PPV's and state on here how they could improve their sucky TV show that gets no better and fails to achieve what it's meant to achieve. As for Global Impact, the point (which, unsurprisingly, you failed to grasp) is that if this replaced the usual Impact, my opinion is that ratings and PPV buys (more importantly) would improve.

| Re: TNA Impact sucks I'd like to assume that most people who watch impact keep their eyes peeled on what's going on with WWE. A lot of TNA's top stars are from WWE and a lot of those guys are responsible for this "spike" in the ratings. To me, it'd be accurate to assume that out of two PPVs (WWE & TNA) to choose from each month, the majority of impact viewers are still selecting WWE. That's with WWE being a good $10 more per PPV as well.. The only possible reason for this is that the top of WWE's card is more interesting than TNA's.. and it's my opinion that TNA is doing a shit job of promoting their draws. In WWE, it's no secret who the major plays are. Whether you like Cena, HHH, Taker, HBK, Edge.. or whatever.. we know they are what everyone will pay to see. TNA's top draws should be the likes of AJ Styles, but why would I buy a PPV to see him when he's going at it in a tag match against a guy that's way over the hill and a guy that I'm surprised is still alive? How old is Bullet? 100? Then you look at Christian and Angle. I still don't know where the match came from, why it was happening, and where all these "title matches" that are being given away are headed.. | |||||||||||||||

As far as Blades comments to old WWE guys... Some have been there, but the same can be said of ANYONE that is in a promotion that participated with another. Major or minor. Remember WWE has taken main eventers from the ranks of ROH, WCW, and are building more stars from released TNA talent. The fact that TNA is picking up misused talent and are helping put over some of their own doesn't bother me. Take AJ, Joe, Kaz, Roode, MCMG, Daniels, and other talent like that which haven't been on the major stage (taking the route of WCW) and then I have an issue with it. But because they are growing superstars of their own and balancing the well knowns with the up and comers, and using talent like Cage ( Which I think has more talent and charisma than anyone in the WWE locker rooms, but was passed over cause he's above roiding out.) makes them successful in what they are building. Given time they'll continue to grow and will become stiff competition as long as they don't over do it.

And once again, TNA make nothing from a teeny tiny spike in Ratings. Impact fails because it is an advert for the PPV and it fails to add numbers to the PPV's because it is wretched.

| Re: TNA Impact sucks Really probably shouldn't add in my two cents here but I am going to do so. I think the main problem with TNA, is when they came in they were attempting to market themselves as a wrestling alternative, to the soap opera-ish storylines the wwe were putting on. However, over time they have started to travel down that same path. I think TNA needs to just find a happy medium, with both wrestling and skits, rather then trying to be a comedic promotion. I mean I watched Impact for the first time in awhile the other night off and on. and the main parts I caught were. Christian Cage cutting promo about what happened at Against All Odds. Kurt Angle saying something about renewing his wedding vows, and Aj styles seemingly didn't like it. Curry Man- Now this is a huge wtf are you thinking moment. Christopher Daniels is probably one of the their 5 best wrestlers yet he's being booked as a comedic jobber? wth I understand sometimes people need to be re-packaged, but Daniels was over as he was why would you fuck with a made gimmick like the fallen angel. makes no sense to me. All in all I think alot of people have lost interest in TNA because they're not an alternative anymore. they're not sticking to their roots. | ||||||||||||||
