Gotta tell yeah. I like this guy more out of the ring then I do inside of the ring these days.

I have been trying to follow iMPACT weekly now and these segments with him, Christian and Angle entertain the shit out of me. Much better than Zzzzzz'ing Samoa Joe or Rhyno.

Do you guys like this AJ better or the more in-ring babyface that was "cool" and shit?

I will take the cowardly sneaky AJ any day of the week.

I love the new version of AJ Styles. Sure he's an idiot.. but who cares. He is from the south after all. I love the prepubescent handyman character he portrays and Karen Angle is the smoking hot milf he's fawning for. Kurt is the psychotic "I don't give a shit what you have to do" champion. It all fits. It hasn't changed his in-ring performance either. He's still the same high flying AJ. Lets face it.. he needed this. In order to be the next Rock, Austin, etc.. huge star, you have to be a great speaker and have a great character. His awesomness in the ring is a definite added bonus.

i liked the old AJ i loved watching him wrestle... it was so entertaining, now its just kinda blah, but dont get me wrong he makes me laugh all the time

I think he needs to be taken sriously as an in ring performer, he is one of the best wrestling talents in the world today and I would rather have him wrestling great matches against the like of Kurt Angle, Christian and Somoa joe than see him wearing a reindeer suit and making him look like a doofus

Yeah, I much rather have the old AJ. His in-ring stuff doesn't even seem nearly as good anymore with this gimmick as it seems a lot harder to connect with him.

But then again, he never seems as strong on the mic when he's a face.

AJ has been near killing himself for the best part of five years (A short heel turn allowed him to ease up), he deserves a break from the high risk's that he does as a babyface.
Also as a face you get 5* matches but only 3* promos, as a heel you get 5* promos but 3* matches. Whats more important for him? Killing himself & ending up going backwards to be in the X-Division again or easing up & being almost main event?

100% correct. In my mind there was no better wrestler in TNA than Styles when he was wrestling as a face during his matches. Now his performances are less than half of what they used to be. I wouldn't go as far to say that TNA is killing his legitimacy as a Main Event wrestler, but I don't think making him everyone's understudy is helping him right now.
