From Grant Zwayrch:
Just got home from a great night of TNA action.
Crowd in Oshawa (around 1/2 hour from Toronto) was smaller than I expected. Not sure of what TNA was hoping for. I would estimate the crowd at around 3,000 people. But they made up for it in enthusiasm.
All the crew put on a great show as everyone worked hard and didn't disappoint.
1. Jay Lethal won four way vs Johnny Devine, Sonjay Dutt & Jimmy Rave. A hot opener that really got the crowd going.
2. Eric Young def James Storm. Young had the whole crowd standing and singing O Canada.
3. Gail Kim & Ms Brooks def Awesome Kong & Jackie Moore.
4. Abyss def Chris Harris in a street fight. Thumbtacks and tables. Crowd into the gimmicks.
5. AJ Styles & Tomko def LAX. A super match that the crowd was really hot for. LAX really over. All the great moves here. AJ is simply phenomenal.
6. Samoa Joe def Robert Rude. A really solid match here. I think Bobby Rude is really underestimated. He is going to be a great TNA champion some day in the near future. His mic work is very good, his selling is solid and he has the "ït" charisma. I would think a great candidate for most underestimated in the year end awards.
7. Kurt Angle def Christian with a belt shot. They teased the SS finish with Angle getting Christian in the sharpshooter and Earl Hebner almost ringing the bell. Throughout the night there were still many You screwed Bret chants but also a lot of Bret screwed Bret chants. Christian super over and thanked the fans at the end for the great support and that he truly appreciated it.
Jeremy Borash hinted that with the great support they may think of a PPV in Ontario. Christian also hinted at the same thing. Not sure if that will happen or not as they would need a bigger crowd but the crowd would definitely be one of the hottest ones they would have. Gimmick tables looked very busy.
