Many TNA Stars Released, One Top Star; More on Brock/TNA

- Mike Johnson is reporting that Jerry Lynn, Matt Bentley, Brother Runt, Damaja and Basham are all gone from TNA. Apparently Lynn asked for his release and the company obliged.

- As previously posted, Brock Lesnar is in talks with TNA about possibly coming in. If a deal is made between Brock and TNA, he will come in when the company gets their second hour.

Brock would be huge in TNA but I thought he wasn't allowed to wrestle in the states?

Not surprised to see who got released, will WWE giv HBK's nephew or whatever the hell he is a shot?

Man i guessed three of those would be released soon & one retire (Lynn). The only one i didnt see was Matt Bently. Its a shame because i like him.

He was on the inactive roster for the last few monthes. The only time he wrestled was the occasional house show.

He was costing in the region of 30,000 a month. TNA dont do open contracts so it was release him or pay him to do nothing.

Oh I thought it might have been because of that 3D not renewing thing.

The wrestlers that were "released" today were let go from their contracts but were notified by Terry Taylor that they would be booked by a per show basis. Taylor had also told the released talent that if things work out well then they will bring them back under a regular contract. At present, none of the released wrestlers will be heading to WWE. All the released wrestlers are however accepting independent bookings.

It doesn't hurt TNA to lose any of those guys, however talented a couple of them are.

WWE would also show no interest I'm guessing in any of them except perhaps Bentley if HBK goes to request him
