Shorter this time as i don't have as much to write about this month.
Hard Justice. Motor City Machine Guns vs. Triple X vs. Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt.
My Pick: Motor City Machine Guns.
Winners: Jay Lethal & Sonjay Dutt.
Insane match & a great way to kick off a PPV. At least five different times i thought the match was over but it continued. Move of the millennium was Daniels Picking Dutt up for a reverse DVD, Senshi hitting a double foot stomp on Dutt while on Daniels Shoulders then Senshi hitting Shelley with the double foot stomp followed by Daniels hitting a DVD on Dutt on top of Shelley! The crowd went nuts & rightfully so.
Match Rating: 10/10.
Raven vs. Kazarian.
My Pick: Kazarian.
Winner: Kazarian.
Havok & Martyr made this match. It was basically a 3 on 1 match because Raven not being able to make a full match just yet. Interesting moments was when Raven shoved Martyr & Martyr shoved him back. Martyr & Kazarian back together maybe?
Match Rating: 6/10.
Barroom Brawl.
James Storm vs. Rhino.
My Pick: James Storm.
Winner: James Storm.
Last month i said don't ruin it by having Rhino go on the drink. What happens? Rhino starts downing the bottles. Nothing spectacular in the match and the ending was kind of slow. I was still expecting Rhino to recover & hit a Gore but it didn't happen. Credit to Rhino for taking the bottle shot. Real or not that hurts.
Match Rating: 5/10.
L.A.X. vs V.K.M.
My Pick: L.A.X.
Winners: L.A.X.
VKM are not good enough to be in the same ring as LAX. VKM managed to make an LAX match boring as hell. Even Team 3D didn't do that! Good thing was LAX & Hector didn't hug it out at the end, instead LAX were unsure of him which is the best way to go if Hector is joining. Also what the hell was Kip James wearing?
Match Rating: 2/10.
Humiliation Match.
Robert Roode vs. Eric Young.
My Pick: Robert Roode.
Winner: Eric Young.
Yet again. These two will never have a great match together. Both have talent but they don't work against each other anymore. Its been over-kill. Eric Young showed a lot of potential & hopefully they can both move on to bigger & better things.
Match Rating: 6/10.
Black Reign vs. Chris Harris.
My Pick: Pre-show.
Winner: Chris Harris.
If you want to put over
Goldust Black Reign keep it short & sweet. It went so long that the blood on Harris dried out! Pointless match & i don't see why it couldn't have been done in a two minute segment.
Match Rating: 1/10.
Steiner Brothers vs. Team 3D.
My Pick: Steiner Brothers.
Winners: Steiner Brothers.
What did you expect? It was slow and for the most part boring. Same old shit from Team 3D. Only upside was Scott Steiner made it thru in one piece. Rick Steiner dropping Brother Ray on his head was the one exciting part as i fully expected Ray to kick the shit out of him for it.
Match Rating: 4/10.
Doomsday Chamber of Blood.
Christian Cage, AJ Styles & Tomko vs. Andrew Martin, Abyss & Sting.
My Pick: Christian Cage.
Winner: Abyss.
Seemed very rushed to me. Sting got locked out and was only in the match for a few minutes before it ended. The upside is Andrew Martin didn't win like i feared he would. Downside, with Abyss winning the winner of the Main Event was obvious.
Match Rating: 5/10. Because it was so short.
Winner takes all.
Samoa Joe vs. Kurt Angle.
My Pick: Originally Samoa Joe but when Abyss won i changed to Kurt Angle.
Winner: Kurt Angle.
The worst of their nearly year long series. Largely due to Angle having to sell himself being depressed & heart-broken. About half way thru the match i smiled & thought Karen Angle will help Kurt win. Sure enough she did.
Unrelated to the match but i said in a different post that Karen & Kurt were separated, that's wrong, they are back together and had a child last year.
Match Rating: 7/10.
Other points.
Ron Killings made a successful return. I was actually happy to see him back.
Pacman didn't last long as he left in an Ambulance. I would go with a who did it storyline with Killings the main suspect. In the end it turns out to be Petey Williams or someone not doing anything.
Overall Rating: 6/10. Good but not as good as recent PPV's. Hopefully No Surrender will be a fresh start with new feuds.
Individual Wrestlers: Sting.
What the hell is he going to do now? The only reason he was feuding with Christian's Coalition was to help Abyss. Abyss is now the number one contender.
TNA could do him & Martin vs Styles & Tomko, but what about Cage? Feud with Samoa Joe? Over what? Hopefully, we will have some idea after iMPACT!
Martyr.
Got into a shoving match with Raven at Hard Justice. Hopefully he breaks away as well. Kazarian & Martyr vs Havok & The Return of Julio diNero.
The Damaja.
Congratulations Damaja you just won the first ever UYI Dunce award. If your not going to show up at least tell you tag partner so he doesn't get shit for it. You have cost yourself & Doug Basham a shot in TNA. You have also cost Lance Hoyt & Christy Hemme their push.
Andrew Martin.
Very slow at Hard Justice. Hopefully he just needs time to get back to 100%. He has talent but he needs to stay away from promos where he is talking. I recommended last month splitting Ms. Brooks & Robert Roode, Ms. Brooks i think could do the job as mouth piece. Roode doesn't need one anymore.
Judas Messiah.
What happened to the promos? Hopefully it hasn't been dropped because he told one person what the plan was who in turn told more people. I was looking forward to his debut.
You may Notice i didn't do iMPACT! this month. I'll do it now, Kurt Angle, followed by Kurt Angle followed by more Kurt Angle, wrapping up with some Kurt Angle. Cut down on him, it's ruining iMPACT! He already has 5 titles he doesn't need 25 of the 42 minutes as well.
