I have been scouring the sites, and I found something where a couple people are saying that TNA has locked in the 2nd hour starting as early as Oct 4th. I will continue looking for an "official announcement" to back this up... But I wanted to get some discusssion about what the 2nd hour could and should bring to the table for TNA.
----------
As reported earlier, if TNA finalizes their plan to go to two hours they will be taping shows bi-weekly. This means they will tape each Monday for the show on Thursday and then tape on Tuesday for the show the following week.
The current plan is to move iMPACT to 9-11p.m. ET Thursday nights on SpikeTV. TNA's current contract expires on September 30th, so it is likely that the time change will happen once a new deal is reached. Both TNA and SpikeTV feel that they need at least two hours for the company to increase its profile.

As long as they are knockouts that can wrestle, I'd be fine there. I think that if they add into depth to the storylines, as long as they stay centered in wrestling and don't get too crazy we'll be in good shape.

Yeah i had read that as well... i was waiting for something more solid that said they had signed it. I imagine we will see it before too long
TNA & Spike have a conferance call on Thursday but James Mitchell is the only announced TNA attendant. If it was Jarrett then i'd have said they would announce it then. With Mitchell im not sure.

I can't wait till they get two hours, give the guys some time to have better matches, they always seem so rushed to me! the x division is the reason i started watching tna, they need to focus more on them!
Sources within TNA are saying that it's just a matter of days before a new deal is sealed and an official announcement is made that TNA iMPACT! will expand to two hours on Spike TV this fall on Thursday nights.
There had been talk of moving the show to Wednesday nights, but Thursday is considered to be "a wrestling night" in Spike's eyes. UFC programming will move to Wednesday nights.
