Hey there.. just thought I'd pass along the results of the 8/5 House show in Wichita, KS.
I've got to say.. first and foremost.. STELLAR matches and show overall. They were PPV quality.. and I loved every bit of it. The fans were eating it up the entire way.
Through out the night, in line going into the venue, at the seats, and just around the building, I'd hear many people talk about how they loved the show, about how it was so great.. ultimately PRAISING the hell out of it.. And some of them said it was their first time seeing TNA. Its safe to say TNA got a few new fans tonight..
To kick the show off we got a speech by somebody who was really kissing our city's ass.. haha. He intro'd Jeremy Borash who plugged the website and such...
Eric Young d. Robert Roode w/Ms. Brookes with a dual DVD.. Ms. Brookes on Eric's shoulders, and Robert Roode on top of her.. awesome first match. The crowd was really into it.. and there were a lot of great funny moments in this match.
Petey Williams d. Black Machismo Jay Lethal in a good X Division match. Williams was heelin' it up the entire time, but the fans were eating out of his palm and cheering the hell out of him. Everyone wanted to see the Canadian Destroyer, and hell so did I.. Lethal was down and out, and I decided screw it.. 'Lets Go Lethal!' I shouted, and someone else started up a 'Lets go Petey' chant.. thus the dueling chants began. Great times.. Canadian Destroyer was the finish. Lethal sold it well for a few mins after the match.
Jackie Moore d. Gail Kim . . . by forfeit. Gail was entering the ring and Jackie cracked her right in the head with a boot, knocking her out. Gail had to be carried away and Jackie was awarded the match.
Abyss d. Tomko in a No DQ Wichita Street Fight. They brawled around and it was a cool match.. finish saw Tomko WHACK Abyss with a chair, only to seemingly set Abyss off, and he immediately hit the Black Hole Slam for the 1-2-3.
It was then time for Intermission, with Abyss signing autographs.
Back from Intermission..
LAX d. Team 3D. Awesome heel promo by Team 3D prior to the match, really digging into the crowd, and one chick and her mother specifically haha.. and the crowd interaction throughout the match was a real nice touch. Team 3D was really getting into it with the crowd.. face to face.. and contact as well. It was all in good fun though.
Wildcat Chris Harris d. Cowboy James Storm w/Jackie Moore after Gail Kim interfered and helped to eliminate the Jackie factor.. Catatonic scored the 1-2-3. Jackie was a riot in this match, shaking the guardrail like an insane person (Think Warrior on the ropes) and whenever Storm would get just a 2 count.. she'd argue with Rudy Charles. She'd slap the mat and go ONE - TWO - THREE! He'd go ONE - TWO - KICKOUT! And it'd go back and forth over and over.. haha quite humerous.
JB let us all know that TNA would be back in Wichita. They shot some footage of the crowd and said we'd be on SpikeTV!
Main Event - Kurt Angle d. Christian Cage in a TNA World Heavyweight Title match. GREAT match.. back and forth action at its finest.. these guys tore the house down. Christan cut a promo prior to the match to get the heel heat.. fans were greatly behind Angle.
Afterward, JB thanked us for attending, and let us know we'd get an opportunity to have our photo taken with Kurt Angle. So, I put down 20 bucks and got in the ring and had my picture taken with him haha.. awesome stuff.
This was without a doubt the best wrestling show I've ever been to. I had a great time, and I can't wait until TNA comes back to Wichita, KS.
