The latest edition of "Ask TNAwrestling.com" is up with Bill Banks. It is noted during one section that Ken Shamrock was contacted recently by TNA to tag with Rick Steiner against Team 3D at the Slammiversary PPV this past June.
For those who remember, Shamrock won the NWA World Title on TNA's debut PPV back in June 2002 and had a short run with them during the weekly Wednesday night era.
I havent seen Shamrock much since he left TNA, what kind of shape is he is? Shamrock would have done a much better match than Animal did.

If it was a one time thing i dont think he would have. However, if TNA wanted to use him for a while afterwards i think he would. E.G. Shamrock takes the fall but blames Steiner on the loss.

I'd like to see him rastle' again, I was a bit young when he was with WWF, I do have a PPV, he rastled' in, it was "WWF Saint Valentines Day Medicare. I liked him very well, while watching him fight Val Venus.
Shamrock is past his prime now. I would like to see him go back to WWE so he can make some big bucks. TNA just can't pay the guy what he deserves at this point in his career.

Re: Shamrock talking with TNA
I wouldn't mind him coming back, however any money to be had on him is in an ankle lock -vs- ankle lock MMA "style" worked match with Angle.....NOT in teaming him with Rick fricking Steiner against the Dudleys.

While the guy can't cut it with the top 10 Light Heavyweight fighters in the world he is still in great shape and has solid conditioning. I think a return to wrestling would be perfect for him. I'm suprised Vince hasn't offered him big money since he is suddenly in love with a more MMA like style.

Vince is extremely unlikely to ever employ talent on a part time basis, and that is what Shamrock is apparently looking for.
He doesn't want to work a full time WWE schedule and Vince's old school mentality on that subject means he only ever caves to that request from guys with very serious stroke (like Taker for example).
It's a shame really, but I guess Vince's thinking is that if he brings guys in for short term runs.....what he's essentially doing is giving the guy the biggest platform in world wrestling just to raise his own profile in order to secure more money elsewhere.
