The finish for the Team 3D vs. Rick Steiner & Road Warrior match at Slammiversary was changed during the day of the show.
Animal came in with the impression that he was going over in the match. But when he got to Nashville, he was asked to do the job. He refused to do the job, and Rick Steiner ended up doing it. The finish made little sense because it hurt a future Team 3D vs. Steiners match. This was all blamed on miscommunication.
What an ass, i doubt he could have done much if TNA had told 3D to pin him. 3D dont play nice.

Re: Road Warrior Animal refuses to job
What do people expect from this guy? Road Warriors never paid any dues or have any love for wrestling. They were bought in as two roided freaks that were allowed to squash anyone everywhere on the basis that they had a good look and were more jakked than almost anyone else on the roster.
As such, they never had to have any respect for anyone, so it doesn't surprise me that Animal has never lost his way of thinking.
I don't even know why they bothered bringing him in. Wasn't he bought in without people knowing on this show, so he wasn't responsible for any PPV buys (and probably wouldn't have been).
They should have just let Rick have the match 2 on 1, have him get beaten and then have 3D running around claiming they beat the Steiners (setting up Scott's return down the line).

Scott is out for at least 6 months so it'd be a bit too early imo. ABout a month before he returns would be good tho.

I concur. The only appealing thing about them was the fan reaction, which as we know, can make a match.
