TWO FORMER WORLD CHAMPIONS MEET IN THE KING OF THE MOUNTAIN QUALIFYING MATCH
This Thursday night, another King Of The Mountain qualifying match will take place with one star advancing to the Pay-Per-View main event. According to TNA management director Jim Cornette, two former champions will collide in the main event bout for a chance to advance to Slammiversary. However, Cornette has yet to release the names of the two TNA stars to anyone. Who has Cornette signed to battle this Thursday night? Tune in and find out as we count down the days until the big TNA World Heavyweight Title match at Slammiversary.
STING AND THE FALLEN ANGEL – FACE TO FACE!
TNAwrestling.com has also learned that Sting and “The Fallen Angel” Christopher Daniels will be face to face this Thursday night! According to reports, both Sting and Daniels have requested that Mike Tenay be on hand for the discussion. What is behind the recent violence between Sting and Daniels? Is there more to the story than we know about? Hopefully, we’ll get the answers this Thursday night on “iMPACT!”.

Also on Thursday, "iMPACT!" will feature exclusive footage from the "Slammiversary" press conference held in Nashville, Tennessee, which featured NFL great Frank Wycheck smashing James Storm with Jeff Jarrett's guitar! Wycheck will be a part of "Slammiversary" on Sunday, June 17 on Pay-Per-View!

Robert Roode battling Jerry Lynn opens up iMPACT!. Roode has control for most of the match, but Lynn is able to get a hurricanrana and then goes for a Cradle Piledriver. Ms. Brooks then distracts the referee, and is able to let Roode get out of the hold and give Lynn a low blow, followed by a Perfect Plex. After he is declared the victor, Roode attacks Lynn once again, but Eric Young comes out with a chair to stop it. Roode runs, but throws Ms. Brooks to Eric to get away. EY shoves her in the ring and Jerry Lynn holds her as Eric is about to hit her with a chair. Jim Cornette puts a stop to it, and says no man will be harming Ms. Brooks tonight – But Gail Kim will, in a match later tonight!
Backstage, Leticia is with Tomko. Leticia asks Tomko if he has been able to get a hold of Christian Cage, but Tomko says that Cage has changed his phone number. Tomko then goes on to say that tonight, Cage has no where to hide.
In a special interview between Sting and Christopher Daniels, the Fallen Angel says that he went to Sting for enlightenment after he lost the X-Division Title. He says he put Sting’s advice to good use, but Sting says he doing the exact opposite. Daniels starts to speak of wrath, consequences, and penance. Sting is confused, but Daniels tells him not to worry, and that he will make things right.
Leticia, backstage with Gail Kim, is asking Kim how she can prepare for a match on such short notice. Gail is about to answer when Ms. Brooks jumps her from behind. The two start to brawl, but is broke up by security before it gets out of hand.
In another Paparazzi Production, we first see Black Machismo Jay Lethal and Kevin Nash. Lethal seems to becoming overcome with the Randy Savage impersonation, as he seems to think he is facing “Snake Roberts” at Slammiversary. As Nash tries to explain that Lethal will be facing Sabin, Sonjay enters the room with his new attire. Decked out in all white, Sonjay says he has found peace and tranquility. He says that the old Sonjay Dutt is gone, and the “Guru” Sonjay Dutt has arrived.
A recap of the Slammiversary Conference is then shown. Former Tennessee Titan star, Frank Wychek was in attendance to help promote the Pay-Per-View. James Strom didn’t like that a former NFL player was there for a wrestling show. Storm spit beer into Wychek’s face. Wychek took Jeff Jarrett’s guitar and swung it right onto Storm’s head, and leveled the Cowboy.
Backstage once again, Jeremy Borash is with AJ Styles. JB goes to ask AJ’s thought’s about qualifying for the King of the Mountain, when Kurt Angle interrupts. Angle congratulates AJ, but then goes on to tell AJ that he will cripple him before the KOTM match. AJ wants to call Christian Cage, so he goes to borrow JB’s, until a door opens. A disguised Christian Cage grabs AJ and pulls him inside the room.
Gail Kim vs. Ms. Brooks is next. The two Knockouts battled it out tooth and nail. The end of the match saw Ms. Brooks in control with Gail on her shoulders looking to go for what seemed like an ace cutter, but Gail was able to reverse it into a rollup and score the pinfall. A displeased Robert Roode came to the ring and demanded Ms. Brooks to attack Kim. Brooks does so, but once she goes to taunt the crowd, Roode pulls her aside and stands over top of Kim and demands for Ms. Brooks to raise his hand in victory. A confused Ms. Brooks obliges.
Tomko is backstage still looking for Christian Cage. Tomko passes JB and asks if he has seen Cage. JB tells him and looked like an excited kid in a candy store as he ratted out Christian Cage.
A video is shown promoting the Team 3D vs. Steiners match. Brother Ray says that they wanted to show respect to the Steiner Brothers. Ric Steiner says they don’t need they’re respect. 3D comes back and says “You ran your mouth trying to say we never did anything and our legacy means nothing? We’ll see about that.” Scott Steiner says “We’ll tell you when to kiss our asses and that’s after Slammiversary and I say PUCKER UP!”
Tomko finds Cage trying to hide behind a desk and shoves him into a wall. Tomko demands to know why Cage screwed him out of his title opportunity. Cage says that it wasn’t about that and that he took him in and asks if this is how Tomko repays him. He says they can squash the tension right now or he can go back to being a guard at the jails. Cage says that they need to focus on finding out who Cage’s opponent is going to be. He then tells Tomko “You’ll get your time”. Tomko reluctantly agrees and walks off.
The KOTM qualifier is next as Cowboy James Storm faces Wildcat Chris Harris. The two revisit their blood battle early on, as they start the match in the crowd and beat the hell out of each other. Wildcat is able to leave Storm dazed in the crowd, and goes up to the top rope and hits a crossbody on Storm in the crowd. The two battle back and forth and finally end up in the ring, clobbering each other with trash can lids. Storm is somehow able to get the advantage and puts Harris on a table in front of the announce table. Storm gets on the top rope and hits a Senton Splash. The two battle back and forth once again, with Storm even trying to throw a beer bottle at Harris. Wildcat sidesteps, and Storm goes to try again, but Harris charges and spears Storm; crashing through the stage in the process. Referee Rudy Charles gave them to the count of 10 or the match would be thrown out. They couldn’t make it, so Rudy had no choice but to call it a draw. Before the show ended, Cage went to Cornette’s office and demanded to know who his opponent was. Cornette told him not to worry, because he’s heard Cage say this person was “beneath him.”
