Last night's airing of TNA Impact took a huge hit in the ratings as the show drew a 0.59 rating going head-to-head with a special Thursday night airing of WWE RAW. Last week's show drew a 1.1 rating, and thus there was a 47% decrease in viewership this week. This was the least watched edition of Impact in the show's history since the move to Spike TV. Additionally, the two hour replay of 'This is TNA!' that preceded last night's Impact drew an even lower rating, a 0.48 cable rating.
'Pros vs. Joes', which aired right after RAW and Impact had concluded at 10 p.m., drew a 0.77 rating. 'Inside the UFC', which usually draws a fraction of Impact's audience, drew a 0.46 rating.

Re: Impact Rating Plummets Due To RAW; Rating Down 40 Percent
THe key word there is yet. I think it will be in time, and it is gaining a lot of ground. I know I missed it cause my Tivo was overhauled and it kicked out TNA over Raw and Smallville because it was a higher channel #. I bowl and usually get in about 30 min late...

Re: Impact Rating Plummets Due To RAW; Rating Down 40 Percent
I wouldn't call it that bad of a rating. If you think about Thursday Night isn't a good timeslot. Spike tv isn't a good network, if I remember right Raw usually averaged around 3s on there, in their natural slot, live at 9 pm. While .6 isn't a great number you have to factor in TNA had enormously tough competition that night, and their show isn't live (also makes a difference) and it's on spike tv. TNA used to get .6s when they first started out and that was when the went on unoppossed by Raw, the fact that within less than a year they can pull that same rating while against Raw shows improvement.
Re: Impact Rating Plummets Due To RAW; Rating Down 40 Percent
I think the majority of people watch both, but they watched wwe longer/more often so they watched Raw instead.
Also i think you need to factor in that Raw has been on air for over ten years so it has built up a very large audiance in that time. Impact has been on for just a year and a half.
Even UFC and everything around that time got poor ratings so it nothing that TNA are doing, its just that wwe is still so much more popular. If this happens again in a few years time when TNA is established and has two hours then id be concerned but as of now, im not. I expect it to be back up around the 1.0 mark next week.

Re: Impact Rating Plummets Due To RAW; Rating Down 40 Percent
I think that if WWE really wanted to screw TNA, they would work out a deal to have SmackDown moved back to Thursdays.
Also, RAW got the same ratings on Spike TV that they do now (even a little higher at first since RAW moved to TNN/Spike TV in 2000, when wrestling was still pretty huge).
Re: Impact Rating Plummets Due To RAW; Rating Down 40 Percent
I personally was watching both. I think Vince wanted to flex some muscle and purposly had RAW on thursday to screw with TNA. IMO I think it was Vinces way of telling TNA to...ya kno.
Re: Impact Rating Plummets Due To RAW; Rating Down 40 Percent
Why did you phail m God? I was just saying that it's not the fact that TNA is on Spike TV since WWE got the same ratings back then as it does now. Also, that was going up against Monday Night Football, while TNA doesn't have strong competition.
