Breaking News: TNA No Longer Moving To Primetime

TNA's iMPACT! move to primetime in April is no more.
Jeff Jarrett apparently told the wrestlers are a pre-show meeting today at the tapings that Spike TV executives have changed their mind and will not be putting the show in a primetime slot.
The new timeslot starting on April 13th will be Thursdays at 11 p.m. This will follow the Ken Shamrock/Tito Ortiz season opener of Ultimate Fighter.
The change was made as Spike made the decision to move the Ultimate Fighter to 10 p.m on Thursdays.
Dave Meltzer reports that on 4/13, the line-up will be CSI at 8 p.m., UFC Unleashed at 9 p.m., Ultimate Fighter at 10 p.m. and TNA Impact at 11 p.m., which is the line-up that by far makes the most sense for everyone.

Thursdays will still be better than Saturday nights I suppose. It's a little dissapointing though that Spike TV would rather air repeasts of CSI(a show I think is boring) rather than air TNA.

Basically, it means that Spike thinks that UFC will get better ratings in the 9:00 timeslot then TNA which I think is true. I think UFC is bigger then TNA is right now. The move to Thursday will help either way though.

This is a good thing for TNA. They're ratings will be higher b/c of the lead-in from UFC. I think this season of "The Ultimate Fighter" is going to be the best yet, as Ortiz will definitely be stirring up a lot of controversy on the show.
If you look at TNA's ratings on Saturday you'll see that they are much higher the weeks they follow UFC as opposed to when Imact! airs with no UFC lead-in.
