So apperenly TNA is looking to get as many as 5 stars not under contract for their move to thursday nights or something. So who would you choose if you were TNA?? Who would help them the most?
I'll post mine later.

If money were no object then and presuming they'd agree (and for differing reasons) the obvious choices would be any of Hogan, Rock, Austin (signed for movies to WWE unsure how his on tv contract stands up), Brock, Goldberg, Jericho, hell even Bret for maybe a rating increase.
In the real world though (i.e leaving out Rock who is not coming back and Austin, Hogan and Bret who simply add nothing ring wise) their best possible signings would be Goldberg (like it or not he has appeal to old WCW fans), Brock (which would be a major coup) and Jericho (who would be an excellent fit in TNA).
I'd just leave my choice at those three as they really need to create their own stars, which they are doing well enough. I'd probably use any extra funds in this imaginary world to bump up the contracts and exclusivity of guys like Joe, AJ, Daniels who all deserve any contract increases they get.
*Edit - Just seen in rumours that it appears one of their choices may be Steiner. Well, they do know better than any of us!!

Realistically, Y2J, Test, Maven, Nidia and then (with the money saved from those frugal signings) bring in Brock for some big dates.
Now with everyone throwing big names about those signings look weak, but there are massive advantages in them. They're all competent workers and can all carry storylines. They are all readily synominous with WWE and with them not all being at the top of the card they can all have their bit of tele-time. Also they all can fit nicley into the current TNA vs New-comers fued on all levels. Now that is called booking, I expect calls from both WWE and TNA to snap me str8 up. (probably to eliminate me as currently it seems both companies are waging a war on sensible booking).
Im glad to see TNA is thinking of expanding. The hiring of new established talent is great to see.
My choices would be -
1. Chris Jericho (Some great matches to see there)
2. Brock Lesnar (Would have to be booked strong matches Vs Rhino & Abyss would be great!)
3. Brian Danielson (Would add to the X Division)
4. Goldberg (Just great for publicity, would have been a great choice to take title of JJ
5. Rob Van Dam (When his contract runs out. I surprised RVD doesnt look at Christian and think "Damn I could be great AGAIN!")
I'd go with
Chris Jericho would be the #1 choice in my books. Just because i mean... its Jericho!
Goldberg would draw just on his name so that'd help some ratings right there.
Maven, that guy had huge potential that the WWE just didnt see and I think TNA could really push him to be great.
Ron Simmons/Farooq? Does he still wrestle? He could be a good addition
I'm not sure who else is around but i'd ether go for a tag team like Kronik or The Steiner Brothers (because neither of them are good in singles bring'em back as a tag team) or what about The Warrior?? Not as a wrestler but just as maybe a manager or something? whats Ken Shamrock or Marc Mero doing?
I'd like to say The Rock too but A. I dont think the Rock would slap WWE in the face like that and 2. i really doubt TNA could ever afford him.

Ron Simmons works backstage with WWE I believe or has some sort of relationship. He is also done wrestling.

Kronik also retires last year, although i'm sure they could be coaxed out of retirement for the right amount of money.
I'm not sure WWE would allow Brock Lesnar to compete for TNA.
From what I read, TNA is looking for 5 stars from the Monday Night Wars era(1995-2001) which would also rule out indy wrestlers. My choices(some just to help out TNA publicity wise):
