No psychology, no story, no selling and no match flow.. just a bunch of people jumping around doing ridiculous moves trying to cram as many spins onto a dive as possible and setting up overly contrived spots.
Its not wrestling and only serves to make it more unrealistic than anything else
Even the worst X-Division match beats out the average WWE match though. I'd also argue that there's a lot of great matches going on, but I don't watch much TNA so I can't defend that. I just know cruiserweight matches, when good, can be fantastic.
I'd also like to say that the form of psychology is different. It's not like seeing two three hundred pound guys going at it.
It does tend to be over-spotty though. But again, at least that's something to watch....WWE matches are just sluggish, predictable, and boring.

Im not saying the WWE style is without its flaws.. But what is impressive about spinning 17 times in the air while doing a splash or something? only for the recipient to get up a few seconds later totally unaffected by it and then he does a spinny move of his own.

I agree. I used to love the X-Division stuff when TNA first started, but now it's all just a big spot fest and there is no psychology. Granted there shouldn't be as much psychology in a cruiser match as there should be in a main event match, but they should put some thought into the moves they do and why they would/wouldn't work and how that would help tell the story. The matches also look too choreographed, too.
Don't get me wrong they are still fun to watch from time-to-time but you can pretty much plug any 2-4 guys from the TNA roster into a match and you're going to probably see pretty much the same match.
They are great to watch when they do it right, that 6 man X-division match on iMPACT a couple weeks ago was awesome and easily a match of the year contender for me.

Hey dont get me wrong the guys are talented and yes it is entertainment, but its far from wrestling.. give me Regal/Benoit anyday.
I'm not saying I want all X-division, but it is a nice break from the crap that is Jeff Jarrett. Maybe it's aslo because i've always been a fan of crusierweights and high flying wrestlers.

To misquote JR... 'This IS Ballet'
It is far more than ballet. No selling? The way you describe it couldent be more wrong. Doesent seem like you really watch it. Yes they do a lot of flips, not everyone, but some do. No Psychology? No storytelling? I usually see a story. Wrestling today is a lot of High Spots. A lot of the vets donbt like it, and think it is dumb, as yourself. The way you explain it though, I disagree.
I promise you if you actually watch it, you will see the people in the X-Division Sell. Have you ever seen someone take a powerbomb and just stand up or something? Im not sure what you ment by that. It is a lot more fast paced, and more moves than an Bret Hart or Chris Benoit match. The Styles are totally different. I guess it just depends on what your into. That is why I think all shows need all the styles.
For me, when I wrestle I try to blend both styles together.

I don't think you're being fair Shango when you bunch all of the x-divisioners together. AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Christopher Daniels, Petey Wiliams, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, and Alex Shelley are all extremely talented wrestlers who DO wrestle, use psychology, and sell fairly well. All you have to do is watch one of the Iron Man matches between AJ/Daniels to see this..
It is guys like Sonjay Dutt who do nothing but jump around and do flips.
