styles, daniels sign long term

eat your own asses out wwe, tna just emailed me to tell me that a.j. styles and fallen angel christopher daniels have signed long term contracts through 2008.

“We are thrilled to have two of the brightest young stars in professional wrestling committed to our company for the long term,” said Dixie Carter, President TNA Entertainment. “AJ and Christopher have been an important part of TNA’s success from beginning.”

the email also says they're in the process of signing ALL it's talent to long term deals. i wonder if all really means all.
i really hope tna gets a great tv spot and comes up as a real challenger to wwe.

Wow...this is great news for TNA..prolly the two best guys in the company through 2008. It would be nice to see them get a better deal somewhere also.

Two things I'm wondering though..

1. Where the hell are they getting the money? I heard they were having money issues.

2. Does this mean they are gonna sign Monty Brown now?

Yeah i mean half the time it almost seems like they dont even know if they are going to be in business in 2006 nevermind 2008. And where is this money from?

Sign me up with the cynics. While this is a clutch move for TNA's chance for survival, I don't know that this will save them from extinction unless they're able to secure a better TV deal soon and start making some cash. But, it's better to have AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels than to not have them, so they made a smart move.

It's probably for the best that they stay in TNA. WWE would really screw them both up.

I don't know if WWE would screw them up, but they could be underutilized. I think it would be the same situation they had with RVD where they could be pushed close to the world title then dropped back to mid-card status..

Visit and shop for video games at my Amazon-based store, also get discounted HD DVDs while they last.

Yeah, WWE wouldn't do either guy justice. AJ would have a better chance of surviving there than would Daniels, as his ringwork and look are better than that of the Fallen Angel. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Christopher Daniels fan, but he's skinny and doesn't have a lot of moves that differentiate him from other wrestlers like AJ does.
