Re: TNA Turning Point 2009 Preview and Live Discussion
I still haven't seen Turning Point yet, but after reading TONS of reviews of the PPV, i'm not surprised the 2 main events were awesome and Match of the Year candidates. I hope they continue with the Angle/Desmond feud. After the match they had (going off of reviews) how can they not continue with it?

The 3 Way was fucking awesome stuff. Joe looked better than he has in years.
AJ was AJ and Daniels held is own well too.
Nigel/Angle was really good but the finisher overkill hurt it big time for me. Normally I'm used to it with both of these men but Nigel is new to TNA and his finishers already lack credibility. It was a great match for sure, but that part bugged me to no end.

Whilst I love the match, I'm going to agree about the finishers. Nigel's Lariat and Tower of London I had no problem with as they've been used before - it just felt kind of awkward seeing the London Dungeon applied. It felt as if I was watching a ROH match - which says a lot seeing as it's TNA but seeing Nigel use that with no background of using it in TNA just felt weird. I understand he can't debut his whole moveset before the bloody PPV but I agree.

I don't think TNA acknowledged the lariat and the London Dugneon as finishers? If so then I wouldn't say overkill was a problem apart from the ten million ankle locks (only for Angle to win with a cross-armbreaker!).

I don't believe they did, but I still see Kens point.
Not hearing the usual pop that comes with Nigel locks on the London Dungeon was odd.
