Angelina Love: Do You Care?

A couple of months back TNA lost the services of one of the top draws in the Knockout Division (which itself is the highest rated segment of the show) in former Knockouts Champion Angelina Love, due to visa issues. Since then there has been little news as to whether she has sorted out those issues and whether TNA will be signing her back if and when she does.

Personally, I don't watch TNA anyway, but I always checked out the Beautiful People segments as I thought they were a great group and Angelina was one of the most talented and charismatic (not to mention sexy) women out there.

I'm just making this thread to check what TNA fans think. Am I in the majority really wanting her back? Do most of you care whether she returns or not?

I'm not sure what to think on it. While on the one hand it makes me care much less for TBP, while she was there I didn't want them in the spotlight so damn much. So it's a good thing and a bad thing, because I think TBP are worse off than they were before but at least I don't have to see them clogging up so much airtime.

As a new viewer of TNA, I thought that the segments with TBP (with Angelina) were decent and sometimes funny. I think she played the "stuck-up bitch" pretty well, and appeared to have that leader mentality. Having her leave and then replaced with Lacey Von Erich was - in my opinion - a bad move, because Lacey hasn't proved herself worthy to be in that spot. I think if Angelina was unable to come back, they should've left TBP as just Madison and Velvet. But, I'd like to see Angelina return if the visa issues get taken care of.

Absoloutely. I'd love to see Angelina back, it's hard for me to find female wrestlers that I can 100% get behind, Angelina was one of the very few I actually liked. I'm aware it wasn't that big of a loss, but if she did return, we'd get rid of Lacey which would be a huge plus because The Beautiful People has a huge hole in it's group, and the hole lacks charisma and entertainment value.

Angelina bought something to the table that no other knockout in the group could, she was the tape which held it together, the strong mouth piece, the ship of charisma, i'm aware that there are so many other knockouts that are talented, and deserve air time, but they can't fill Angelinas boots because she had something unique about her.

When Gail left, Angelina and Velvet stepped in to fill the void, and now that she's gone, we're left with three girls who can't put on a decent match to save their lives. The Knockout division still has it's Alissa's, Saritas, and Wildes, but they don't have magnet which attracted so many people to the division this year. I'm slightly exagerrating how good and how valuable Angelina really was, but she was one of the main reasons i've tuned into TNA in 2009.

Replacing her with Lacey really was a terrible move. I can see what Crest Fall is saying, but personally I didn't see it as a negative that The Beautiful People got so much exposure, because they're entertaining as well as easy on the eye, and both played their roles very well. Now it just isn't the same, and Lacey is pretty talentless and uncharismatic. It just doesn't work at all.

While she may not have been that big of a loss it was still a loss that would have been better NOT to happen. But then replace Angelina with LVE is a slap to the face. Especially someone who knows nothing. I mean I thought the pretty ones with no wrestling talent were for WWE.

That Lacey chick looks like a fish 3 miles out of water. I do care because she was really hot, but most importantly (kinda) made the group work. I think the problem was TNA thought they could insert anougher hot girl and be done with the problem, which is rediculous considering Angelina was super talented and charismatic. It was a group about looks, but looks didnt make it so popular for so long.

TNA really doesn't stand for anything though. They're all over the place.

Not that she added a whole lot to the ring. But she was great at playing out the role of being a stuck up bitch. It made you hate the pairing of the beautiful people. She was also the leader. You can't just take the leader out of the picture and suspect it to be the same group. Velvet or Madison could be replaced as long as Love was still in it it would of worked. Not only did they replace her, but their pick was way off. I've seen cut outs with more of a presence then Lacey Von Erich.

Overall it would be good for her to return storylinewise and for the better sake of making it all watchable again. I wasn't always a huge fan of The Beautiful People because they didn't add much to a match. But they give the division more of a well rounded feel. You had women who were more serious about it and then you had the sluts. Now they're still sluts but they don't have any microphone skills or leadership direction which makes their segments hard to watch. Bring Love back and solve this problem.

The best part of Angelina (and Velvet), was that the biggest part of their heeldom was the fact they where the sterotypical "diva". Blonde, faceless in a crowd of their peers, and thinking they where more deserving than they really are. And the beauty of the The Beautiful People was that they exploited those negatives, to the utmost, and though it pulled a complete smart mark 180, and we all fell inlove with them, it was still entertaining to see. The fact that Angelina was a better wrestler than TNA presented her to be, made me like the group even more, because it really was a blatant piss take. However with Lacey, she really is your typical WWE diva, and it kind of ruins the concept of the group for me. Then again, better her than Candice Michelle I guess.
