Hey, don't get mad at the impact zone fans. I agree with them with the this is awesome chants. MOst of the moves in tna are awesome, and so much more exciting than wwe. AT least tna fans show they're support unlike wwe fans. You don't see WWE wrestlers flipping out of the ring, so when you see it in tna thre's a reason to clap.
first off it's a good spot. it's good they keep impact going there because it saves them money. they can go out of the area once in a while. right now with the economy in the way it is they need to save as much money as they can.
They're not making money either though. As long as tickets are free, the iMPACT Zone is the safe choice because there's zero risk. However, just as there's zero risk, there's zero gain. TNA just needs to get out of the iMPACT Zone to give the show a different feel from week to week.

Moves don't equal excitement. For the most part the current incarnation of the X Division is a pile of hot garbage. It's just 5 minute matches with no story, no psychology and poorly paced moves.
Moves don't=excitement. Watch Orton/Dibiase from Raw a few weeks back. The only real move done in the 5 minute match was the RKO for the finish and that match was exciting as hell because they two told a story and did it well. The match had a genuine crowd reaction, not "RANDY HAS AIDS" **CLAP CLAP CLAP** which you'd get in TNA.
From a production perspective I think they should stay, but from business they should definitely leave. I mean, they get no money, and I'm not sure whether they even get money for the PPVs they host in the arena.
However, from a production perspective it's made for TV, quite easily the best look the company has had since its inception. I don't really think it looks all that cheesy.
They have a hard time selling tickets for the 4 PPV shows they do a year so moving out of the Impact Zone right now doesn't seem like a smart choice for them financially. Would love to see them do it, so they could really take that next step but it's just not in the cards right now.
Taking the show live from Orlando is the next logical step. Live TV creates a greater level of excitement, and would be a lesser risk than going on the road.

They have a hard time selling tickets because they book arenas that are far too large. I suggested they book more intimate venues such as smaller theatre halls (1000-3000 capacity). The Manhattan centre would be an example of this.
I also think they should go live. But taking that out of the equation, how often does TNA do TV Tapings? Twice a month? If TNA cannot sell out a 1000-3000 capacity theatre for shows chalked with their top stars twice a month despite having a Nationally Televised TV show then something is extremely wrong.
In closing, WWE fans especially the newer younger ones have a standard that they expect for production values. Anything lower than a 5000 inch HD titan tron with Vince McMahon's left testicle on the side in turn looks busch league to them and will hurt their ability to find appeal in another promotions product. Because TNA does not have the budget or ability to compete with this production they should mask it by going for a grungier more intimate atmosphere and coin themselves as the counter culture of Pro Wrestling.

What does being live have to do with anything? Being taped means they can edit the crowd noise, fix any mistakes and give an overall more impressive product.

I was addressing the guys point who I was quoting as he said he thinks they should go live.
I agree that taping a show has the perks of damage control. But on the flip side I'm a big fan of the atmosphere and unpredictability that a live wrestling show can provide versus taped (even if the unpredictability is just an illusion of sorts.)
