So currently TNA is reestablish AJ as a top guy, and are in the process of pushing Matt Morgan and Hernandez as main stays in the main event scene. All guys have different quality that will make them effective as main event guys, but which one is going to go down as the biggest star at the end of the day.
AJ is Mr. TNA without a doubt, and is easily one of the most beloved guys in the IWC, but there has always been doubt about him getting over with the casual fans. He can bring it in the ring, and is one of them most exciting guys to watch work a match. But a lot of people knock him for his mic skills and the fact that he's playing kind of a vanilla baby face right now. I think for him to really take the next step there going to have to switch up his character some more, his Mic skills are improving, but moving him into more of a tweener role may be what ultimately gets him over. I say book him like Christian during his title run, turn him into a cocky guy that knows he's the best in TNA, and that if people need any proof to look at his resume.
Hernandez, I'm not necessarily sold on right now. He's got the overall look, the Mic skills, and with being Hispanic, he could draw in a key demo of wrestling fans to the TNA brand. Still though I think they need to tweak his look a bit, right now he comes off as kind of stereotypical and corny, make him a face, but give a little more seriousness in how he's presented.
That leaves Morgan who really has the chance IMO, to be the biggest out of the 3. He's got everything right now going for him, and the only thing he really has left to do is get better with experience. I fully expect him to get the belt before Hernandez in 2010, and I think putting him in a high profile feud with Angle now, is going to make a title win for him next year seem so much more realistic.

I remember Morgan v Tomko, Matt got given the world and still didn't quite impress me. Then again Hernandez plain and simply bores me. Big happy smiley Mexican dude. Yawn facor.
Hernandez is much more talented, and while his promos aren't anything to write home about, they're better than Morgan's. If we're talking about personal tastes I'd go with Hernandez but Morgan fits the bill for "star" more than Hernandez, I'm afraid. They could definitely use Hernandez as a player in the Heavyweight division though.

AJ's ship has sailed. I always was the guy who question why they weren't giving AJ the world title two or three years ago when their promotion was heavily sold on fast paced cruiserweight "non-stop" action.
AJ has absolutely no personality, and him as champion at this point will not allow the promotion to grow further. They aren't catering to that style anymore. AJ's good in an upper midcard role, but he shouldn't be sold as the face of the company with their current direction.
Hernandez could be huge if his push becomes more organic. It came out of nowhere, and the payoff to the Feast Or Fired lacked all sense of logic. Hernandez using the briefcase to enter a FIVE WAY match made him look like a total idiot. If they gradually push him and work on his mic skills, he could easily become a Latino superstar.
I don't see the hype about Morgan, but I will admit he seems to be getting very over. With that in mind, I think he will be the biggest immediate star out of the three.
In my opinion, I think Morgan has the better chance of becoming the "star". I'd heard a lot of people say that he doesn't have good enough mic skills, or that he's lacking in the "in-ring" department. But, when I watch Impact every week, I see him as the guy who's bringing the intensity into his feud with Angle. He's been feuding with arguably one of the best wrestlers for the past 3-4 months, so there's not a lot that could go wrong with that. A victory at Bound For Glory (which seems to be the direction it's going) would be huge for Morgan, and it would keep him in the title picture heading into 2010.
Hernandez... I don't know too much about him. I've only recently seen him since I started watching TNA over the summer. To me, he's charismatic to a certain point. It seems that he's been given the prototypical "Latino" gimmick, geared towards those fans. And, the way things are going right now, I only see him feuding with the World Elite for a couple months before falling back and challenging for the X Title.
And, AJ... he's been the face of the company for years now, even way back when they were still running weekly PPVs in Nashville. I whole-heartedly agree with one of the original posters when they said that his mic skills need work. To me, he comes off WAY too clean. The "down-home southern kid" who doesn't stray away from the rules, etc. I think giving him an edge would be a great idea. I would love to see him turn on Sting at BFG and start bragging that took Sting out (if it really is Sting's last match). That might lead him into a fairly decent title run heading into 2010. But, I think if they keep the belt him on longer then that it'd be a bad idea.

I think Hernandez and Morgan have the potential to be the bigger stars. AJ, though I prefer him out of all three, just doesn't cut it anymore. He's good in the ring but his mic skills are appalling, and its hard to take him seriously with his gimmick. Heel AJ really brings the best out of him and I think that's the direction TNA should be going with him.
Hernandez and Morgan both have the superstar look, are decent in the ring, their mic work could do a bit of polishing but they seem like they have the tools to be major superstars.
Call me crazy but Morgan's lack of ring psychology and knowing how to work is going to hurt him in the long run. I don't ever see him being a big draw considering those factors. Sure, he's kind of got a character going for him but I still don't see him going anywhere. Why TNA puts any effort into him I'm really not sure but then again, it is TNA. I predict AJ's still going to be top dog for a while, maybe put over Joe or Daniels. And hey, Hernandez might get there too.
