It's actually a good idea to add in Knockouts Tag Team Titles, it basically means that TNA are going a different direction than the WWE Women's/Divas Division plus it means good teams such as The Beautiful People and Christy Hemme/Tara are going to have a good spot in the company rather than compete for the Knockouts Title all of the time.
The only bad thing is though that I think TNA has enough belts as it is, TNA World Title, TNA World Tag Team Titles, TNA X Division Title, TNA Legends Title, TNA Knockouts Title, and now the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Titles, plus I don't know how they're going to fit it all in unless they go with the exclusive Knockouts show, which would be a good idea although I would prefer if TNA went ahead with something like a 'Sunday Night HEAT' show and make it interesting like it was back in the late 90s.
They could have matches then such as Joe/Amazing Red being the main event, but I don't know if it would bring in the ratings, where as the Knockouts show has more of a chance of bringing in those ratings.
TNA like to think they've got a diverse male tag division even though it consists of roughly the same 4 teams. They also like to think that their women's division is something special, neither is true.
Previous to this tournament they've got what you could call one female tag team, maybe they should make a couple more up first and then think about making the new belts.

Ugh, it seems that I'm in the minority for some reason, and I just can't work out why tbf. This is a terrible thing if it leads to more knockouts matches. People can go on about all of this equality crap, but women's wrestling just isn't entertaining compared to men. People say Angelina Love is a decent wrestler. How good would people say she is if she was a man? She'd be looked upon as pretty shit for her sloppy wrestling skills. She herself is better than Velvet, Traci, Hemme and others, showing how shitty the women's division actually is. Sure, Sarita and a few others are pretty good, but the knockouts as a whole are pretty shit to watch. Just more piss breaks, really.

It's not about equality, it's about the draw. The knockouts are usually the highest ratings of the show. It makes perfect sense to give them a tag team division and get them on TV more, especially considering their division is stacked with very talented women. I find the knockout's division very entertaining, it's one of the main reasons why I actually watch TNA, so I see no problem in doing it. Nothing wrong with trying something new, what have they got to lose?

The fact that they bring the highest ratings still continues to prove to me that people who watch TNA week in week out enjoy it just because it's a trainwreck most of the time.

The X-Division is the main reason I watch, tbqh. Very talented guys, good characters, but they're so under-used, which is why I want an X-Division show so bad. I'll never have to watch iMPACT ever again if that happens.
But, yeah. It is kind of sad that their high ratings come from the knockouts, but it's something to take advantage of. "People like it? Is this what's going to get our ratings a little higher? Fine. Put them on TV more and see if they can give us the boost of ratings that we need." So business wise, it's a good idea.

I agree that business wise it's a good idea, but I still really don't want to see it. Yeah, fuck TNA's ratings, they should be booking for my personal pleasure. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
The X-Division is too weak for it's own show atm, imo. It's a shadow of what it was back in '05 and '06, which is really sad. They had the guys in the undercard who could have taken the spots of Joe, AJ and Daniels (Shelley, Sabin, Strong, Aries, Williams, Young, Dutt etc) but they never capitalised on it. But I guess this is getting too far off-topic so I'll probably leave it at that.

All the people you listed excluding Eric Young are X-Division wrestlers, they wont go any higher unless it's in a tag team. Styles, Joe and Daniels were three of the best at the time, it didnt matter who came next, they were never going to be able to deliever as good as those three did.
I dont see an all X-Division show anytime soon, they regularly get the lowest ratings on iMPACT! hence why they dont usually get more than one match. Combine them with the Knockouts and it could work.

Indeed, the point was that they were all X-Division wrestlers, with Young being someone who could have stepped forward and been a good X-Division wrestler. Those guys could have all led the division once Joe and AJ stepped away, but TNA screwed it up. Sure, it might not have been as good, but it still had the potential and TNA's booking screwed it up.
