What do thus far, since he's going to definitely be doing Impact and PPV's for now on, what do you think of him? Personally, I feel as if he doesn't fit in with the general suckage of Nash, Steiner, Booker, Foley and Sting (this past year). He's young, proved he's improved on the mic and I've always felt he was a better wrestler than the IWC gave him credit for. He has a chance to be seen as one of TNA's own, IMO. How do you take Lashley so far? Needles to say, I'm digging him. Fire the Mafia (save Angle and Joe) and use Lashley.

He'll never be seen as one of TNA's own, because well... he isn't.
He is being thrown straight into the main event on the basis of his WWE push, so he's just another example of TNA failing to create their own stars and instead letting WWE do the work for them. He's obviously credible because of his WWE run. They even call him a World Title winning wrestler, meaning the ECW title. If anybody ever claims he is one of TNA's own that is laughable.
Ok, on topic....
I hated it when his signing was first announced, and to be honest I hate the way they are basically using their own TV time to hype UFC just because its on the same network, but aside from that, I don't think it's TOO bad. The worst thing about it is the whole holding down young talent thing. TNA's glass ceiling is ridiculous. As for his actual ability, he's not epic or anything, but he is really underrated by a lot of people. I just watched his match with Cena and that was a really good match. Sure, he was working with one of the best there is, but he did a lot of good things in the match. I would say he is not only better than anybody in the MEM (including the washed up, sloppy Joe) but also better than Batista. He is a lot quicker and his moves are a lot crisper. I need to see him in more long matches before judging him fully though.
The thing is, TNA isn't about wrestling, so none of that matters.
His mic skills are pretty damn bad despite improvement, and TNA have already shown that they're going to seriously overuse him on the mic. I would have preferred him to be largely silent, only speaking with a few words when he had to, but on the evidence of this Impact, he's going to be talking a lot, and that's bad, because he sucks on the mic and it takes away part of his imtimidation factor.
He is a good signing in terms of credibility and it makes sense from a business perspective with the whole MMA thing, but I still don't really like it.

Quite honestly, Tazz being a speaking role for Lashley would make more sense than having Joe have someone on the mic. We already know that Joe doesn't sound like a 3 year old. Plus, if Joe & Tazz are probably going to turn back babyface, then yeah, kinda pointless.

Yeah that nickname was hillariously bad. At first I thought of it as a shot at Triple H because you know God of Thunder=Thor but thats kind of reaching. Also I sure didnt miss Lashleys lisp.
Never paid much attention to him in the WWE and from what I seen on this weeks Impact I was not impressed at all, the way they threw him right into the top storyline and are hyping him is nuts

Lashley may not be seen as a TNA orginal superstar like Joe or Styles, but he will find his own character in TNA much like Christian Cage. I'm a biased mark for Lashley and I marked like a girl getting an engagement ring, when he came out!
I don't think Lashley is a good fit for TNA at all, or any other wrestling company for that matter. Pure and simple, the guy is shit. Some people are saying he's underrated or whatever, but he's not. The guy just isn't a very good pro wrestler. He is awful on the mic and nothing more than average in the ring. He is like Batista's less successful little brother, only black.
TNA wants him to come in and be more or less a main eventer. We has been built up as a big star. "Former World Champion" and "UFC Superstar." I'm sorry to say this guy is nothing more than an over hyped meathead. It is another signing by TNA just for the sake of signing someone. I would much rather see guys like Abyss, Lethal Consequences, and the MCMG instead of wasting air time with The mother fucking God of Thunder.
Lashley had a long way to go when he was in WWE. But the fact is that he was poor but he was improving. He benefited from wrestling Booker, Finlay, Big Show & Vince McMahon. His improvement was obvious. And unlike a lot of wrestlers who ''improve'', but are still fucking awful, Lashley was becoming rather good.
I doubt we'll ever see what the finished article of Bobby Lashley would've been like. As MMA is a more lucrative profession at this time. But I honestly think that in WWE, Lashley could've been something special. He was getting solid pops from the beginning of his career, even though he couldn't talk, was a terrible performer and he was going over lowly talent like Simon Dean & Paul Burchill. But how good he could've been in WWE isn't important. He's with TNA now and I've seen no evidence of them ever making anybody elses career better, so I doubt they'll do anything with Lashleys.
