I was thinking this while watching the iMPACT! ten man tag match. I had a feeling that Young was going to turn on someone at some point. Sure enough, he did, which now means the current TNA landscape is Styles, Daniels and Beer Money vs. Angle, Nash, Joe, Steiner, Booker, Morgan and Taz vs. Bashir, Kiyoshi, Young and the British Invasion. From that it is easy to see that the Originals are massivly outnumbered right now. Sting is on the same side but he is not fighting for the same goal, Jarrett appears to be off TV for the time being, and the only real ally they have now is Foley who doesnt help much. You could make an arguement for Lashley, but as with Sting, I doubt he will be fighting for the same thing.
There are not a whole lot of options for someone who would make a differance, Chris Sabin has been there since 2003 but likely wouldnt make a differance with how he has been booked in recent months. Plus, he's more intrested in Suicide right now. There is only one person on the roster who I think can make a big differance to the side. He also fits into the group, well, in theroy anyway. Abyss. Compared to most of the roster he is a TNA Original and one of the few TNA born and bread. If Abyss were to join them as the psychotic monster that we know he can be, it would turn them around instantly. He has a long history with Styles so they could use that to bring him in, while he has also gotten revenge against Dr. Stevie so right now, he is free to do whatever he is needed.
Who do you think the Original's need to help turn them around and get them going again?

The need a big name from MEM to switch, it's been all one way so far. Bobby Lashley can't be counted as an original. When Sting returns, he should join The Originals and that would defo kick start them

I feel like they need to be losing up until after Hard Justice. This feud needs to culminate at Bound For Glory where the originals needs to have a clean sweep of the MEM for all the belts. I think MEM should be carrying all the belts until then. Also, I feel like the return of Dutt, Williams and Brown along with the participation of Red, Lethal and Abyss is what they need. It needs to seem like the TNA of old.

Sting. I always thought the outcome of the feud was obvious. Sting & Joe would swap stables then the Originals would come out on top. With new stars being made. But somewhere along the lines TNA decided to go with the less obvious, and worse option.

Sting and Joe swapping and Sting winning it for The Originals, creates new stars how?
I think Abyss, The Guns and Jay Lethal are all options to help The Originals out, but right now I just can't see how. The MEM has everything currently, and The Originals are getting owned constantly.
It's possible they'll be adding Hernandez at some point, but I don't think he was a bona fide Original, was he?
It seems to me that they've actually re-started the fued. As if it had all gone wrong, so screw it, let's start again and give it another shot. The MEM have all the Titles but two and are actively pursuing those. After Hard Justice I expect them to have all the Titles and The Originals will start to fight back properly. The Originals group that came out on Impact is the group that should've been the Frontline when this all started in my opinion, but TNA had Daniels as Suicide and Beer Money as heels so couldn't do it.

Actually Hernandez is an orginal. He was with TNA in around 03 with some kinda "muscle for hire" gimmick, if I remember correctly.
The problem (well one problem) with TNA currently is there are to many factions, and they are involving too much of the roster. The World Elite, MEM, the Orginals, the Beatuiful People. There are really no fueds beyond the MEM and the Orginals.
As for what the Orginals need, maybe some new writers? A new company?

Sorta right. He debuted in 2003 but only made it to Xplosion which most people didnt get to see even if they wanted to. He returned in 2004 as a hired muscle for Jarrett but he only lasted a few months. He only started proplerly in 2006 as a member of the L.A.X.

Getting rid of this tiresome fued, and fold TNA as a promotion.
That was helpful. Thanks for your contribution and well thought out response. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Anyway, I guess they could claim Hernandez as an Original if he was in the company back in '03, no matter how short a time. I mean Joe got lumped with the Originals a lot, when The Frontline were realing of names of guys who had contributed more to TNA than the MEM.
