So on IMPACT Thursday night we saw some dissension between the Beautiful People for the first time. Velvet was upset that Angelina didn't have her back and save her from the spider last week, and ranted at her backstage, saying they're done if she doesn't have her back tonight. After the match Tara was going to put the spider on her again, and Angelina agreed to put the title on the line to save Velvet. Tara then defeated Angelina to become the new Champion...
So the question is, now they have sewn seeds for a BP breakup, are they going to go through with it? Are they going to have Angelina Love get pissed that she lost her title to save Velvet from the spider? It seems to me like this is the route they are going.
Ever since Angelina won the belt I've feared they're going to do a breakup angle, but I assumed they would go for the typical jealousy angle. If this happened I think it would be a bad mistake because they are such great characters and work so well together, and TNA has invested a lot of time in creating that chemistry.... plus I'd miss that entrance. Well I haven't seen it so my opinion now will probably chage once I've seen it. But this is TNA, so splitting up their best all round performers wouldn't surprise me. This is the company that didn't want to pay their top female a little extra to stay in the company.
Together they're the best thing in TNA. Not even A.J. Styles is as consistent as they are.

I hope they dont split up. Velvet and Angelina have brilliant chemistry together. Even sticking Rayne with one of them wouldnt replicate it. Rayne is good as the protege, but she is nowhere near good enough to be a focal point which is what she would likely end up as if they split. Love nor Sky would really suffer from a split, but Rayne would. Love can continue as is by herself or even keeping Rayne to take the bullet's for her while Velvet Sky could easily get over as a babyface, at house shows she usually gets cheered anyway.

I really don't understand why people preach the Beautiful People as the best thing in TNA. The fact Angelina is (or was) on top was ne of their many problems, and I think giving the title to Tara is an improvement on TNA's part.
If they break-up, then awesome. They are really annoying, they can't roll with a good feud, and they are put with stupid angles. Their sub-par performers at best.

They are quite clearly great characters and more interesting than most TNA wrestlers for that very reason.

Thats the point of the gimmicks. To annoy people and make you hate them. It's what good heel's do. Angelina does it to perfection. I was also dissapointed that Tara won the title. If Love had to lose, i'd rather it went to Taylor as she at least has several opponents she could face and have a feud with. Daffney, Love & Kong to name just three. Tara only has Love. Also, the way she won it made me like it even less. Don West said it best "Give me a title match or my poisionous spider bites and kills your friend." I hope she has a short title reign and drops it at Victory Road (Unlikely) or No Surrender.

Yeah, but with that gimmick, do you think they can cut better promos? It's crazy of how they're rising above the booking. Great characters in form of working together, but not working.

Well they're clearly going for the Tara/Kong feud, they've already planted seeds for that.
It will be shit though because Tara won't be able to do any of her moves, including the Widow's Peak. She's better against smaller opponents.
