The Final Card is up. I except the IWGP title match to open since the X title isnt on the line. Sharmell vs Morasca i would be surprised to see go past five minutes unless it gets changed to a tag with Sharmell/SoJo vs Morasca/Kong. I'm also surprised that Jarrett vs Young didnt make it onto the show.

Yeah I like TNA mainly for IMPACT. Their PPVs usually disappoint. There's not one match on here I can see being good, which is pretty unforgivable considering the talent they have available. I guess I'll wait and see if any of them surprise us.

Re: Victory Road - July 19th 2009 - Orlando, Florida
What a horrible card. It's got some plus to it, i'm happy Angelina is on there, but she's not going to get her belt back, but hey who knows? Jenna/Sharmel doesn't even deserve a mention. Good news about Nash is that he's going after a belt nobody cares about, bad news is that he might go over Styles. lol wut? Nash should just stay with the stick and stay away from the ring. He's in good shape, but his in-ring work, well i'm not a fan. Styles tries his best to get a good match out of the older guys like Steiner and Nash, like the street fight last year, but I really hope AJ goes over. Daniels and Morgan should be decent, Chris should go over, because he needs a big PPV win (Shane Douglas doesn't count). As for Sting and Joe, the match is gonna be good because they're both solid ring workers, and there's going to be a twist ending, there HAS to be. As for the Tag Titles match, Roode and Storm plz retain. The match should be pretty funny actually though come to think of it, hopefully Beer Money retain and The Guns can get a shot later on in the year/next few months. 3D vs British Invasion, well 3D are winning, probably gonna be a decent match with a screwy finish. Abyss/Dr Stevie, the match has had a great build up, and once TNA are done with the feud, I can see them bringing back James Mitchell to continue to postponed feud. It's pretty lame that there's not really an X-Division match on, so i'm pretty pissed off that MCMG don't have a match, they'll probably be put into the pre-show match.

Am i the only one to notice that not a single match on the card has a gimmick attached to it? Seven one on one matches and two tag matches. I think we all expect weapons to come into Abyss vs Stevie but other than that it's all straight up. Unless of course someone in TNA notices this and quickly changes it To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

That's one thing to be happy about because they do have a tendency to gimmick things up unnecessarily, but quite frankly some of these matches could do with a gimmick to be watchable.

Re: Victory Road - July 19th 2009 - Orlando, Florida
TNA's just trying to make it seem like the MEM are gonna take over basically. It's a shitty card, but it has some potential.
I'm surprised there's like no X-Division title match. Hell, there's like no X-Division wrestlers on the card.. Won't be surprised when TNA gets rid of that title like the E did to the CW.
Re: Victory Road - July 19th 2009 - Orlando, Florida
Kurt Angle vs. Mick Foley: I'm intrigued about the match. I'm not sure if it'll be solid or horrible. Either way, it should hold my attention.
Samoa Joe vs. Sting: I don't think the outcome is in doubt. Joe's only just turned heel and his advisior is making his debut.
I enjoyed their Bound For Glory match and Tazz showing up should be intresting.
Tara vs. Angelina Love: Well, TNA don't change their mid card titles on PPV most of the time, so Tara is the obvious choice here. I don't see why they culdn't have held off the title win for two weeks.
Kevin Nash vs. A.J. Styles: I'm starting to think that Styles could be one of the most overrated wrestlers active today. Always good, but I've seen nothing great from him in years. I don't buy bad booking arguments, certainly not in TNA.
Another intresting match. Nash is an oaf, so if A.J. can get something decent out of him I'll be very surprised. He won't be able to pick him up like Joe did. It'll mostly be high flying moves with Styles trying to knock him over.
Nash should have the belt, with him being a legend and all.
Beer Money vs. Scott Steiner & Booker T: Booker & Steiner, or another member of the MEM should've had the belts when the MEM first got together. In theory there should be no better way to legitimize your stable than by giving them all the gold. Or copper, as this is TNA.
Team 3D vs. The British Invasion: Having this as a New japan tag title match pretty much takes away any drama this match could've had.
Brutus Magnus is one of the only British wrestlers to have an abundance of charisma. It's a shame he's one of the worst British wrestlers I've ever seen.
Sharmell vs. Jenna Morasca: I think people could live without this on the card.
Abyss vs. Dr. Stevie: They shouldn't usually just jump straight in with a gimmick match. But this is one time when they should. It'll have a hardcore finish anyway.
I suppose they're saving the gimmick match for Hard Justice, which only learnt yesterday is an all hardcore PPV.
Matt Morgan vs. Daniels: Nothing for Morgan? Nothing for Daniels? Put them in a match together. Booking par excellence.
Overall: Typical TNA PPV.

Angle/Foley and Joe/Sting should hold my interest. Well, if I were to watch the pay-per-view. Which I'm not going to. Nothing against the card - it's not terrible. It's just there's very few things I'd stay up on a Wednesday night to watch.
The British Invasion should win those pointless tag titles.
