If Morgan defeats Sting tonight be becomes a member of the MEM. It's great that they're going to use the older guys to push some of the younger wrestlers. But I alwasy thought that it would be Joe joining them.
I'm on a weeks delay when it comes to watching TNA, so I'm not entirely sure how this came about. But I'm pretty sure they haven't built Morgan up enough for him to instantly fit into the stable. I don't think he's just going to look like a star just by association.
Will it work? Is he worthy? Is this just another case of TNA jumping the gun with regards to angles? etc.

Matt Morgan is one of the worst in mainstream wrestling imo. His selling is terrible and he doesn't really have much skill. The only good thing about him is his look, but even then he looks kind of generic. His size makes him credible but he certainly isn't worthy of being anywhere near main event, even in TNA.
Morgan vs Abyss was one of the worst feuds I've seen.

I dont see Morgan winning but i also dont see this being the end of his feud with Sting. Sting himself has said he wants to put over the up and comers for the end of his career rather than the likes of Angle. He even mentioned Morgan by name so i'd expect this feud to continue after.
Had Sting not said Morgan is in by winning the match but instead said by pinning him, i could see Morgan getting a countout win and have him complain about not being allowed join leading to another match between the two with a little more build. I think this match was a last minute thing as it was only started last week, they only had two shows to build including the one it started on.

I have to disagree. Morgan should be the future on TNA with AJ Styles, Daniels, The MCMG, Lethal and Beer Money. His size is a plus, but he sells just fine for a big guy, who isn't suppose to oversell anyways because of his size. His offense is good, and his finisher is great and inovative. I think a feud with Kevin Nash would be great for him. A battle of giants so to speak. If Nash would put him over, it would make Morgan look much stronger, even if Nash is way past his prime.
I've always said that Morgan should be involved in some way with the MEM. His size makes him a perfect protege for Nash, and he wouldn't have to be a full-time member, just a guy that works for them and is ahnging around Nash. It would lead into an eventual fued with them and then possibly the main event.
I think Morgan has the look, the size, and a certain amount of ring and mic skill that gives him the potential to be a real force in TNA. As long as he is willing to keep on improving then he could go far, but I think the Abyss fued took a lot of wind out of his sails and he really needs to pull of something great with Sting to get people's faith in him restored.
